Thanks so much for the thoughtful comments, Marshall! I'd love some impressions when you have a chance ("I don't do impressions; I'm a doctor.") And thanks for the lead on the radio show. I'll definitely pass that on to James.
Dentists are doctors and they do impressions!

Uh, thanks. I guess. I sometimes wished I’d gone Air Force ROTC. Growing up at Vandenberg and all that. Had my chance, but passed. Would have saved me some dough. Oh well. For the best. Growing up in the seventies and al that….
Yeah. Hippy dippy. I’m still amazed I looked into it and applied. No way back then. I knew people who died. Two older guys from my swim team. And it scared the crap out of me. They were only a few years older than me. Call me a coward.

Somehow, I know the name. He used to play with a real cutie. So he plays with you now? Huh.
Elsa?...

So I went to UC Irvine. All my friends were premed bio nerds. Those that could, became doctors. Then there were those who ended up as dentists. Some became optometrists. And some went into bio tech because they couldn’t get into decent post grad programs. The latter guys made a ton of dough and are each worth millions. Life isn’t fair.

Anyone want a bicentennial case?

So there you go Chuck! Are you careless?

That is good to know. I have a nice 7ender PJ that could be awesome with the right J pickup. Jeff gave me options. But since I’m pretty much like Will, it hasn’t been addressed yet. It’s on the list. My goal is to get every one of the twenty something basses I have be the best they can be. It takes time and spare cash. But it’ll happen now that I have time.
I am intrigued by these Dimarzio's because they claim they have much higher output than standard PJ pickups. I have at least one bass I would be willing to try them in.

I’ve got some Relentless J’s in my MIJ Geddy, which is the bass now in the shop, neck and guts being moved onto a AO 70’s Vintage white body.

All that is to say that these pick ups kill.

It was Ken who turned me onto to them.
