That's an excellent metaphor. Without question the best I've ever heard. You nailed it. He was the ocean the rest of the band sailed.

He was a fantastic drummer. Bob was good and did very well. Artimus was another level.Artimus' meter contributed immensely......
Well done! The Palm Desert location is imminent, offer is being submitted tomorrow, 45 days or less to close, sale of Diablo Grande property within 14 days. Storage local to Sun City has been contracted, first loads next weekend.
The new home has a garage with a separate evaporative cooler, sufficient space for the shop.
In preparation for the move I’ll be divesting some of the herd, the Tbird flock will stay.
locals DM me with a complete list of the items I could do without.
Definitely not coming with me:
Ampeg BXT 115hl4
PJB C-8
Trace Elliot GP7 SM 150
CB-700 complete kit with (iirc 8 Cymbals) stands and a new hihat stand
2006 Magnum SRT 8
Could even close earlier!
No. But I’ll go back there with you to “inspect the property,” eat BBQ, and listen to music.Anyone need an office in Memphis? Apparently, our company owns an office strip mall, at least according to the notice to appear. I guess either the owner transferred the dump into our company name or the court and city are hitting what's in the evidence locker.![]()
So you’re trying to unload a dump here?Anyone need an office in Memphis? Apparently, our company owns an office strip mall, at least according to the notice to appear. Chain and Little River Band for a bit if i recall? He was also in Chain I think?
Plus he developed the Maton JB4 for the company.
I thought this was the enablers club.So you’re trying to unload a dump here?
This is the TBird club, not a charity thread.![]()
Fail!I thought this was the enablers club.
Beautiful ‘14 there Law!I just replaced the stock, white pickguard with a black one. I have to say, at least to me, the sexiness factor just went way up. I can’t stop looking at it!

From memory.Chain and Little River Band for a bit if i recall? And yes, the JB4 Maton. Not sure if it was the PJ or the MM style pickup?
Yeah, none of us have too many strip malls. I'm afraid it would be like bass gear. Get one and before you know it you're up to your eyeball in strip malls. So I'm going to set this one out.I thought this was the enablers club.
Sounds spot on to me! Would love to have either option, but pretty hard to find. I was offered a Maton JB4 with the DiMarzio PJ pickups an hour drive away from me, but it's fretless and fretless ain't my thing. Otherwise I'd buy it.From memory.
The Maton he used as a basis was the Wildcat (he previously used) that had a square pickup down near the bridge in the MM area. I suspect that Maton took a look around and decided that PJ was the go for the new JB4 and specified the DiMarzio (spelling?) pups.
I retired at 62 during covid ( I'm 66 now) and frankly I got bored pretty quick, so I picked up some part time work. I love working at The House of Guitars part time and I also work about 18 hours a week doing historic millwork restoration toss in playing with 3-4 bands I have a full life. I only do what I want these days but I really have no desire to slow down.I'm really looking forward to taking a step back..............
Visited The Bass Shop today, they offered me a part time job there next year........
Sounds like fun to me.
What?I don't get it. It's perfectly true.
Strip malls or clubs? The latter might have more takers.Yeah, none of us have too many strip malls. I'm afraid it would be like bass gear. Get one and before you know it you're up to your eyeball in strip malls. So I'm going to set this one out.
