Thunderbird Club

I'm digging that amp! On some decent speakers I like how that combination rides in mix, when the song quiets down to just the bass and kick drum you can hear what I was getting. It was a gas to play that old Bird out, kind of loud on a big stage - it was worth every dollar that I paid for it!
And then some. ;)

6 minute increments here!
Secretary used to work in a law office and it was something like per minute in the formula she used. I get it, time is money. My time is not money. I always figured if anyone ever questioned my work habits I would tell them it would likely go like this. I would keep track a couple weeks, provide the numbers, and begin working 40s a week. Fortunately I've never have my work ethic questioned. Well, there was one guy, but he couldn't keep a job more than a year. He didn't understand my job and apparently none of his.

This is a Burny Swanky Spider I bought from Ishibashi Music in Japan.

I was just thinking that you "needed" another bass, Irv - and here you are! - Congratulations!

Excellent! I suspect they are the same pickups as are in my Burny Tbird…

Great sounding pickups with a handy three screw design to get the tilt just perfect. The only negative I noticed on them is they are a little shy on volume and can get lost in a heavy mix, but easy enough to fix with the turn of an amp knob.
Looks like you’ve scored a pink bass just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Play it proud!

I spent a bit of time with it today going through tunes from my old heavy band.
The pickups sound pretty good! They didn’t strike me as lower volume, but I’ll see how they fare against the other basses. The neck pickup was way down low. I brought it up to a normal level.
I’ve been using my 4 on the floor pedal as a boost to bring my “quieter” basses up to the level of the louder ones.
I think I’m going to get a
TC spark for that purpose.
