Thunderbird Club

The Studio would just have the then current version of TB+?

Yes, correct.
When something is identified by an inch figure we would still use it. Otherwise it would be the metric figure. Some shops here display their guitars with metric total and scale length but it doesn’t help when 99% of the guitars are known by imperial.
I can’t talk for Canada, but down here we vote for “ease”.

Yeah, but we wouldn’t. We would use mm. So a 32” would be 812.8mm (maybe rounded up to 813).

The HQ series Holden Kingswood was in production under both regimes. Its wheelbase started at 111” but finished at 2819.4mm - which from memory they just wrote as 2820mm (easier), the wagon went from 114” to 2895.4mm but they wrote it as 2896mm.
That’s metric abuse!

Anyone know how to post (here) videos I take on my iPhone?
Yes easy.
Write a post. Hit the little attach files button. Select Photo Library for photos you’ve previously taken.
Then select Photos for recent ones just in the main album, or Collections if you have stored into a different album. Swipe through to find, then tap to select 1 or more photos. Hit Add.
The photo/s will show below the text box you are posting in.
Hit insert (on the photo), then either Thumbnail or Full Image

Et Voila!

That works for photos and audio files but how about videos?

Adding photos is no problem, links to other videos I get as well. I want to get clips I record on my phone (like bits of our studio recording sessions) into a reply, like I do photos. There is a option for videos when you hit the three dots next to the photo (when using TB on my iPhone), and it does upload the video, but then it says it doesn’t have the right extension:

“The uploaded file does not have an allowed extension. The following extensions are allowed: .txt, .pdf, .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe, .gif, .mp3, .wma, .xlsx, .svg, .webp, .sib, .musicxml, .mscz”

So I didn’t know if anyone knew a trick to it.

Had to look up the watch. Very interesting. I thought (wrongly) that it might be directed in some way by sound waves. I have a old Bulova Accutron that actually has a tuning fork in it to keep time. They hum, not tick. They were the first electronic watch, or completely electronic.

Mine looks like this. (Railroad Approved).

I have worn it while playing a Thunderbird Bass.

Post it on YouTube, or store it on Google Drive or similar file hosting site, share it from there

Ha! If I read right, it’s similar here at least those of us in our late 50s or older.

We might say that bloke is 6’2” and 110kgs. Or 5’7” and 80kgs. Or whatever. My kids, switch height around a little but mainly use the metric. So, my daughter would say she is 164cm. I’d say, “nah, you are nearly 5’4”.”
In this particular case, I knew the weight of the bass in kg because it was part of the description on Ishibashi Music's website.
At work I switch back and forth on length measurements regularly.

Casuals need not apply.

I bought that LP when Watt & co played Winters' Tavern in Pacifica a couple years ago. He's played there a number of times since Pacifica resident and Iggy Pop (Fun House) sax-man Steve McKay passed away in October '15. I made a "Baby Bass" tribute for owner CJ that Watt signed on his 1st visit, which was a tribute to Steve. Iggy Pop called during his show and it was broadcast over the PA. Watt (who uses his last name referring to himself) was funny - he pointed out the small details that didn't correspond to his stolen* bass. A bass nerd through and through.

*stollen along with other gear from their truck during an Iggy Pop tour - still at large.

As a cyclist I have my cycle computer set to Kilometers and time set to 24hr. (I like how Brits pronounce it Killer-meters) so know the translation to miles pretty well. Sorta same with cm/mm to inches as many components are Italian, French, Swiss etc. Weight conversions I alway have to look up.
