Agreed I drive/drove(commercially)a lot. Easy listening would put me asleep and put my arse in a ditch or sumpin'. Little Steven's Underground Garage FTW.Why is most "easy listening" music so hard for me to listen to?

Roger that. Playing riiiight innntooo the danger zone!Love her voice and the music, a lot of which has great simple groove to it, this being a prime example, the bass is plowing a simple, almost hypnotic groove about a mile wide, very upfront and present. It might sound simple, but playing it so consistent for the duration of the song is quite difficult. It's easy to lose your concentration and start thinking about stuff like HVAC or Root Beer and then the groove goes to $%#@ - Yeah, that didn't happen here.
we opened for her in a bull ring in Marbella Spain in 88(?)......beautifully chill dame....brought the house down....I never 'got' her appeal. Then again, I'm sure my preferences would be in the minority.
Hey, I didn't take that photo!Sicko

"Boys from the Men" stuff imho....Love her voice and the music, a lot of which has great simple groove to it, this being a prime example, the bass is plowing a simple, almost hypnotic groove about a mile wide, very upfront and present. Oh yeah-she's talented and very good at what she does-it just does nothing for me.we opened for her in a bull ring in Marbella Spain in 88(?)......beautifully chill dame....brought the house down....

Had a few minutes and did a quick buff (after sanding last weekend) with some ultra-cut on the back to just see how it was going to go and look. I think the phone was focusing on the tire not the bass.
I'll get into this Saturday. That's the plan anyway.

I wouldn't buy her records, playing the stuff on the other hand....Oh yeah-she's talented and very good at what she does-it just does nothing for me.
Tweetchie zone.
There’s room for it in my world at my age. More shoegaxy than anything else. Why is most "easy listening" music so hard for me to listen to?
There are still cabins available for the outlaw country cruise Little Steven is hosting. I will not be going.Agreed I drive/drove(commercially)a lot. Easy listening would put me asleep and put my arse in a ditch or sumpin'. Little Steven's Underground Garage FTW.![]()
Time to leave the house and go to dinner at the 909, no answering the door for us tonight!

Truth be told, my mind is always looking for a challenge, and as such as soon as it perceives something as routine it starts to focus on the next challenge. In other words, I personally would find it incredibly difficult to nail this song if I didn’t completely focus on the repetitive riff. As our Queen said, I’d seriously have to fight off the urge to not wander to HVAC problems or other non related thoughts. Chuck is right, it’s much harder to pull off perfectly than one would think. Not that you even implied otherwise, but I would think to do that riff no telling how many times in that song without missing something incredibly difficult to do. Impossible for me. With some changes you can cover yourself, but something like that where everyone is expecting the same thing is just impressive to me. But I had a crappy teacher!
If it weren't for the context I wouldn't know if this were guitars or wrestling holds!an upright, a reverse TN, and NR TB, and the GEO Odd Duck Bass of the Day.
Zactly.... as amazing as it may seem, if you don't have to lock with a drummer, it's easier to play stuff that sounds flashy......4 minutes of this on the other hand.....4 notes, no alternate tunings, effects etc......
Hi! I'm sorry to just pop in to advertise my music but I have a new album coming out soon and I know here might be some interested so forgive me. Again.
Here's one track from it, the rest will follow soon.
Even 'though there's no bass guitar on that track I haven't abandoned my T-birds. I actually whipped the white one out quite recently on one gig that was more in the so-called "iskelmä" or "rautalanka" vein. @Mvf knows what I'm talking about...
Anyway, not the usual place to hear or see a T-bird but you gotta play rebel every now and then.
