I don't doubt it if it was an '81. I'm pretty sure it was a Pinto motor but in a heavier chassis/body combo.
Yeah, 64 1/2-1968, but especially one of those fastbacks.

Myself I'd prefer Jacklyn Smith.... she's such an elegant woman that still looks like a million bucks even in her 70's.
She's one of the few ladies out there that could be right at home in jeans and a t shirt sitting on a tailgate at a mud run, or an evening dress going to a high dollar dinner at a fancy restaurant.
Yeah. But while that all electric “Mustang” my daughter got stuck with when she came home last week was a disaster, and the ‘74 Mustang was a freaking Pinto in disguise., the ‘13 EBs are first class basses with Babicz bridges, DeCola pickups, and first rate fit and finishes. They were undervalued IMO. 7ender beaters. Sorta like the EB Cutless annd Caprice basses. Superior to anything 7ender had at the price. But poorly marketed. Although it’s not a Thunderbird, my EB fiver is right at home with the flock. And the case is pretty great too.
My first inclination is to say Ric pickups, but that might be better with a 32 or 33” scale.
I like the idea of a Mudbucker and another pickup with both into a preamp to allow for balancing/blending without loading interactions.

A true great. Like his buddy Duck, he was a pioneer. Fogerty thought Cropper walked on water. He will be missed. I am a fan from way back in the day. A pros pro. Time for some Booker T in remembrance.

No turbo needed here as well. 8.20's @ 171 mph. 467 cubes, cast intake, single 4 barrel and a stage of spray.
3200 lbs with driver, all steel (except the hood) and real glass windows. Full interior, lights, wipers.... street tires and mufflers.

I’m pretty sure I’ll have Rob build me something for my 70th birthday. It will likely be the last bass that I buy. I still have a couple years to think about what it will be.

Roll the window down going thru the traps at 171 mph and that should cool anyone off.
You know, I laugh when guys on various message boards will say how fast their modern muscle car will run at the track "with the A/C on."
First off, you don't want the condensation from the evaporator dripping under your tires, but secondly the A/C in any car built after about 1985 will disengage when the computer senses wide open throttle.
Yep. The best car I ever owned, don’t laugh, was an ‘87 Volvo 740 Turbo Wagon. That thing was fast. Virtually no lag so long as it was floored. Put well over 200 K on it. Sold it to a college girl who needed a wagon to haul her drums. Sadly, she got rear ended a few months after she bought it and the car was totaled. But she and her kit came out fine.
I always wanted to build a V8 Volvo wagon..... something like an old 740DL wagon with a small block Chevy under the hood...... the ultimate sleeper.
