Right there with ya.I'll be 56 next week and never yet owned a smart phone, still rocking the flip's of yesteryear and love it to death. I can not stand touch screen anything. I have zombie fingers that just refuse to work those things. Dang i'm old lol
Some private (primary K-6) schools in Sydney now enforce that the students only have flip / Nokia style phones (and only use before and after school.)
Order a plate for me.
On my way.
You had this bass? I love everything about that bass - it's what I lusted after as a 13 yr old! Nearly bought one at one point but hesitated and it sold.I'm probably in the minority of Thunderbird players who plays fingerstyle only. I tried using a felt pick in '68 when I first started (Vox Delta IV/Vox Kensington amp). It didn't stick. Tried again in mid '80s ( '76 Thunderbird/Lab Series amp) it worked for a few songs, but again, didn't stick. I mess with them now and again, but just don't care for the tic tac sound. Now I just use the Steel Leather for my 2014 Thunderbird to tighten up the tone. Everything is fingers only. The only song I think it would benefit is Train Train by Blackfoot, but while we mess with it once in a while, it never makes it on to a set list.

I do this on all my basses. This placement of the rear strap button causes the bass to pull to the right, bringing the "money section" closer to center. There's less reach necessary for the left hand, and hand posture is easier and more natural.SO on my Epi bird, how far should I move the strap button at the tail end, in order to keep the body from falling away?
Right now I am running the strap over the bout.
Ugh! I wish.We need to be doing this in Seattle, the band has a show 2/13/26 @ Aurora Borealis.
Ugh! I wish.
Just scored a cool job which I start on Tuesday.
I’ll have to wait for the summer, or the end of to be able to make a trip to you.
I am the master of thatA job!? I thought you were the Supreme Master of relaxed living.
Ancient history, a shot of the band playing at Seattle's Fenix Underground around 2005 or so, we're opening up for Burning Hearts Burlesque, the girls onstage with us are the " Stage Kittens" that follow after the performers and pick up the various items they strip off.

Yes, Amazon canceled or didn't renew their contract with UPS.Up on our mountain, Amazon stopped using UPS. They are using temp independent contractors. There are daily postings of packages delivered to wrong addresses, left at the driveway entrances, and all kinds of assorted nonsense.
Maybe this is why.Yes, Amazon canceled or didn't renew their a contract with UPS.
Yes, I laid it away in '68 and paid for it with newspaper boy $. I sold it in '98 thinking I'd never play it again. I used the money to buy a "real" bass, a Warwick Fortress, which I could never get a decent tone out of and sold. The Vox served me well until I started gigging, and overall it was a nice bass. It had a built in G tuner and a fuzz bass switch. You had this bass? I love everything about that bass - it's what I lusted after as a 13 yr old! Nearly bought one at one point but hesitated and it sold.

Agreed. FWIW, I immediately ran outside and we had a short conversation (somewhat louder on my part) about his delivery methods. He apologized.Seems like once upon a time, if customers complained (better still had video) about bad service, the employees that were giving terrible service over and over, would get fired. But now, I’d guess people don’t bother to complain because they already know it won’t do any good. AND the crappy employees know this too.
Like so many aspects of current life, sh**ty, rotten, terrible people get to continue to be sh**ty, rotten, and terrible, with no consequences.
I've got a White LE Thunderbird that I really love to pay, even though I have several higher end basses. I'd like to upgrade the tuners on this bird, does anyone know of drop in replacements for these? I really don't want to have to rout the holes but I will if there's no other option. Thanks
'68....3.2k...hmmmm...

Yes, that would likely explain it. Wonder if they will branch out to non-business customers if this floats.Maybe this is why.
