Try putting a hanger in upside down and see if it fits in the tracks?Quite possibly. Im going from the orientation of the logo stickers... one of which is crooked.
They must've hired the guy who made my bass kit.
Between selling price and shipping, you'd think after dropping more than 5 bills on these premium goods, they'd be assembled right.
They are not what you'd call complex of design.
Trying to decide between waiting til Monday when maybe I can call (while on jury duty, tra-la) or spending my time to fix... knowing that return shipping will be a real hassle given the size.

I like them.
Mine have end caps. Cant insert from the end.
Im thinking maybe they have bowed in cross-section just a touch. Would explain the fit issue, but not the way-loose rail.
Will check. If bowed maybe will flatten when tightened to wall.
Gotta do wife faction for a bit, back on this later.

He needs to start at the end and they’ll slide into place.
Mine have caps too. But starting at the very end and sliding across will work.
Are they not tightened to the wall yet? The install guide says, "Helpful Hint: Due to the manufacturing process, a slight bow in the SlatWall MX® Strip is normal. This bow is naturally removed by the installation process."
Mine go in fine from anywhere, angling the hanger in.

Yeah. We’re guys. Who needs instructions? There are some funny posts where people attached them by drilling through the slats, not through the tracks and had disastrous results with guitars ending up on the floor.
I’m not the most handy guy. Installing them was tedious with a lot of measuring, searching for studs, making sure they were level, etc. A three beer job at the minimum.
I was fortunate to have the contractor install it for me. Since the walls were opened up while doing all the work on the new place, they put blocking in for any heavy wall-mounted stuff before the walls were closed back up, so no need to worry about studs. It was mounted to a huge block of wood.
Did the trade.
The bass is right about mint, plays well and seems to sound good. It's a way different animal, been a minute since I've played a shorty.
The build is tight and pretty robust, feels way more substantial than the Höfner version. And the wood is a nice quilted Maple, it looks it anyway. The poly finish is standard Epiphone, heavy. But I'm good with it!
The guy was happy to roll the cab away, we got it down the steps and into his truck ez. He sent a pic of it stacked under another one, and next to a stack of the Ampeg HN series cabs next to it. He's psyched.
