I am going to let them know the things I’m disappointed in — not acknowledging the headstock repair or new jack & wrong covers. If there’s any refund, great. If not, this bird and I chose each other and I learned a few things.

If they didn't disclose the headstock repair, that's an issue IMO.

I completely agree if they knew. But it's possible they had no clue what they were looking at. Maybe not likely, but possible given it's GC. I would tend to trust a mom and pop shop to have a better chance of knowing what they are looking at than the typical GC.
I don't know their process for looking over a vintage and valuable instrument (compared to their stock). They should know and is the first question or point to bring to their attention. If they did know and just hoped a buyer would know what they were looking at--or not notice, that is an issue, as you said. I just don't know their competency. The store here would be lost and only know what google told them, thus my only addition to your point.

The headstock repair seems obvious, even if you don't know anything about the instrument. The other stuff requires some knowledge.

Hmm. Maybe I should've tooken a photo when my headstock separated. I'm sure as hell not gonna lie about it. 'Course everyone here knows about that and the other 'mojo'/damage it has suffered.
I wish I could afford to get it properly repaired. Shoot(sp?), I'd even have the superfluous pup fixed...Maybe. ;)

I can't disagree with you at all, but I know the people at the GC here. If it's not a guitar, they don't seem too interested. "Yeah, it has strings, works and makes sound. Put a price on it" seems to be how they operate. May well be the exception.

I don't think it was mentioned when I read the ad. In fact, I'm positive now that I think of it.
Is there a way to dig and image out of cache? Likely no way of knowing what that would even look like. Just a crazy thought.
