Family grudges? My father never spoke to his sister/brother-in-law again after they had him build them a garage ... and then, when he asked them to cover the cost of the materials (labour was free), called him out as a greedy, grasping, untrustworthy scumbag.
They were being unreasonable. At best. Sometimes, I'm really happy to be the same species as people who do amazing things. Other times, you gotta just wonder what our species is really about.

Good catch , MCF!

This is the bassist with a band known as The Canines. They opened for Goodbye June!

That might be the coolest TunderBird I've ever seen!
It's an Epiphone Pro IV. I assume he still has the active circuit in it. My fretless started life as one of those, except with a burst finish and a coat of poly that is so thick you could tow it behind an oil tanker to Japan with no ill effects.

I think this is them. CANINES, by CANINES

My dad is from Costa Rica and his grandfather was from Turin Italy. He brought his sister to Panama to marry her bf, who was in the gold mining industry. She went off with him and he was supposed to return home. He met a girl and decided to stay and marry.

He wrote home and they were furious at him for wanting to marry a non Italian that they never met. He married and never wrote or spoke to his parents again.

Twenty years later, he was a foreman at a gold mine in Costa Rica. The owner made him fire a guy for being drunk at work. The next day, my great grandfather was depositing the payroll cash in the bank. The guy he fired came up behind him and stabbed him in the back. My great grandfather was paralyzed from the waist down forever. Strangely, he told the cops and judge to not punish him because he understood that when he fired him, the guy lost his honor and self respect.

Of course he also kept a portrait of Mussolini over the mantle and made guests give the facist salute when they visited. He thought only Mussolini could beat up the Sicilian mafia. Guess he was wrong

This Jack wagon I knew from HS was a real jerk twords me. Ten years ago, we were redoing the kitchen and was told he did that for a living. Had him come over and give me an estimate. I acted cool and joked about the stupid stuff we all did back then and was cool with him. Made him waste a chunk of time trying to get m business. Of course I never used him and called him to tell him that even if he was the cheapest guy I called, never would hire him because he was such a dick to me back in school

Tried to upload something I played onto Soundcloud, changed the names to protect the innocent and it flagged an immediate copyright violation. But I wrote the friggin bassline! apparently doesn't apply.

Out of the blue the other week one of my former bandmates tried to 'friend' me on Linked-in, as if I don't hate his fvckn guts. Maybe he was making a list of people who have not seen or spoken to him in 30years and wouldn't piss on him.
Man your hardcore....f@#$ yeah!

First, I'm not sure how impressed someone would be with something you did 30 years ago. You might want to try to get something a little more current.

Second, 25 years is a long time to hold a grudge. The time to act has long passed, by now you should be over it. This isn't something you want to take with you to your grave.

Third, you might have been better off posting this in the general forum where you could get 86 pages or more of advice. Pretty much all of it better than mine.
I will hold my grudges until the day I die.

So it's been improved!

Last year I learned that one of my cousins raped a friend of mine when we were in high school. I've not spoken to him since, and don't intend to ever again. Except maybe to tell him that I hope he gets run over by a garbage truck.

Some clown I shared a high school locker with in 87 stole my earmuffs on the last day he attended that school, I was so mad at him but never got the chance to even call him on it as he vanished. Today if I seen him I would still give him a verbal thrashing about the earmuffs. Unfinished business that needs closure.
What an ass. Real dick move, there.

Nice. Deliberately wasting the douche's time is a good way to get back at him.

Kat strikes me as someone to avoid pissing off.

I guess I just hate the idea of giving someone else so much control over my emotions.
+2. Letting people control you from afar, is still letting people control you. I won't go out of my way to hold a grudge but I also won't engage with someone I don't like.
I just move on and spend my time doing the things that make me happy. I operate with the idea that what other people think of me, is none of my business.
