Thunderbird Club

I use EBL AA rechargeable batteries. When theyre working, theywork really well, holding a charge for a long time. But at random, some stop charging.
Been using both their AA and AAA's for a few years along with Fujitsus with a high success rate - had mostly good results with the EBL 9V's which I switched to because I don't trust most alkalines due to past experiences with leakage but don't want to pay through the nose for Everready Lithiums

Random question for the group: I bought a cheap Ernie Ball strap for my Thunderbird mostly because it would be long enough, but it's not the most comfortable and it neck-dives a lot. So what's everyone using for a good long strap these days? (I'm 6'7" so I need a long strap even for the bass to be at, like, normal height.) I saw Richter(?) mentioned, how are they? Are there other good ones?

Unfortunately most of their live video recordings suck. They were definitely a "live" band. No show, all music. The music was the show I guess you could say.
One More From The Road is likely the best to hear the bass well. Even then it doesn't capture how massive Leon's sound was.
Right on. Massive it was. You always heard and felt the bass but it was never overpowering.

Yes, those are the best two I know of as well. Still love the Knebworth story where no one was to go out on the long runway stage but Mick Jagger. Ronnie being Ronnie said they were going to go out on it during Freebird, but was reminded Mick would be hot. At one point during Freebird you can see him get the guys to go out on it. As a recall Leon ran out of cord early on. With Ronnie's reputation I'm 100% certain Mick said little to nothing to him about it.
Yeah, pretty sure nobody else got away with that!

Depends on the song- for weapons-grade hard rock vocals with searing guitar, and a killer coda, I can think of none better than Aersomith's "Nobody's Fault" off the Rocks album.

But ruminations on the rock and roll lifestyle- it would be a tie between Skynyrd's "Working for the MCA" and Aerosmith's "No More, No More." But "Sweet Emotion" is a great one too.

But "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Dream On" stand alone as killer tomes-
Both of those were from LS second album, released in 1974. And while I love Working, nothing beats Freebird.

I’ve been pretty happy with the ILOVEDUST series from Dunlop but while they’re longer than average, even I wouldn’t mind another inch or two.

Richter are good and Levy's too- check on their optional extra long strap extenders -

IDK. Ronnie 'rearranging' Mick's face might've been a good thing.

I prefer hearing music with mistakes. There's an interview with Jimmy Page where he says something like "he never worried about getting things perfect, just good enough so the listener would get the idea"
Springsteen has dozens of live recordings of BTR, DITD, etc. They are rarely exactly the same. Especially in the days when Clarence was alive.

Yeah, I did a thing last night.........
Gettin' old is a %$#&* , but I love rock n roll, no tip jar needed

I went to mass and the reception for my sister-in-law’s mom today. I was talking to one of the nieces who came down from Seattle. She knows who the Habits are and has seen you a couple times! Most recently about a year or so ago and said it was a fun time!
