Thunderbird Club

You're forgetting that he often wakes up to, or walks into the shower only to discover a Scorpion visitor.................

I've lived through the earthquakes here :)
I hate those things- got stung on the arm by one of those “visitors” at 2 am in the morning once, then it run up my neck into my hair- managed to shake off into the bathroom sink and wash it down with water only to have it sitting there waiting for my dad later that morning- but he beat it to the sting-

Nevertheless he admonished me to get the job done properly the next time-

On another occasion one stung my sister when she was putting her shoes on at of one of our stock tanks (Texan for farm pond) after swimming; then it tried to run up my pants leg, but I was able to thwart it with a scuffing of my other leather boot. Still it was scary seeing that stinger poised at the edge my pant leg, but that was all that was left of it when I pulled up my pants leg.

Then one night another crawled on my sister’s face in her bedroom while she was asleep and stung her on the eyelid-

This was in north central Texas about an hour south of the DFW area-

Wait a minute - you we’re talking about Scorpios weren’t you?

Libras are even worse (at least for me!)

It is.

Got out a bit before noon and as snow was lightly falling. Supposed to be a huge dump tonight. Round two of what they say will be three.

Ok- they've shut the water off for repairs at home and I'm at the coffee shop editing the novel and I've been on break a bit but I gotta share a song I revisited last night after more than a decade-

My favorite from Zappa, particular this live video- with one of the coolest lead guitar breaks I've ever heard- Also love seeing the band members obviously enjoying themselves-

Did he ever have a band called Necessity ?

One more reason I love Western Washington state so much - that whole "bug thing" just isn't a thing. Yeah, there's a few types of nasty spiders and some monstrous centipedes out in the rain forest, but yeah, no flying cock roaches or bitey stuff except mosquitoes.

Good Lord! I'm staying put. At least we don't get much snow, earthquakes are very rare, have four full seasons to keep the bugs in check, most things that want kill you walk on two legs and drive.

I did wake up one night with one of these 3in snake with legs crawling on my face.

I flicked it off not knowing what it was and saw it on the floor.

And not even that many mosquitoes. But don't tell anybody. Just tell 'em about brown recluses and black widows. Their scarcity is a secret.

Thanks, I’ll replace my .022 with a .047 paper/oil cap

I’ll take one of each! But that 442 looks killer in that color.

Still tinkering with my ‘67 II, rolling strings to see how she behaves with different tensions and types. La Bella black tapes sound nice as did the EB Pino flats, trying some Diaddario XLs today. Trying to get a Badbird and Pickguard from Scott right now.
