Love me a good pair of western boots. If they fit right there’s not much that’s more comfortable. I’ve had a bunch and tried a bunch more. Unfortunately, with a triple E high arch foot there aren’t a ton of good fitting options. Tony Llamas seem to fit my foot best but even then I might have to go up or down a size and up or down a width to get the correct fit, so on line buying is a PITA. My daily kickers, black bull hide and brown mountain goat…

This pair of Llamas should arrive next week, I hope they fit ok, if not I can return them to the local boot barn. Nice mink color smooth ostrich leather on the vamp and a my preference of a round toe…

Love the look and material options of the Lucchese brand but so far I just haven’t found one that fits right. A while ago I was looking for something fancy and unique and ran across this pair of Tim’s brand boots that they custom make to fit your foot, haven’t pulled the trigger yet but I’ll get around to it someday…

Forgetting my hiking boots, I have 2 pairs of RMW “Tambo” boots. Which are the same as the most popular “Craftsman” boots but in a wider fitting and with a wider, flat (squarer?) toe. Both being “Chelsea boots” in style.
They make Tambo in 2 colours only, Black and Chestnut. I have RMW belts in the matching colours. Fancy hey?
(I also have RMW strides, a couple pairs of socks and a few polo shirts - the socks and polos have been presents from kids / grandson).
My Akubra is a Cattleman, same model as Slim Dusty and many others, and I have an Akubra belt as well.

Shot I really should be singing Country and folk!

I had a pair of Tony Llama bullhides - a long time ago when they had the four holes at the top to pull them on with your fingers-

I have three pair of boots — Tony Lama cowboy boots, Renn faire outfit boots, and a waterproof, insulated pair of hiking boots I bought for Alaska (not shown). I hadn’t had cowboy boots in years. A godson’s wedding was my excuse to buy a pair but I decided last minute and had to rush. The Tony Lamas were the only pair in the store that fit that I liked that would also go with my suit. A pair of Lucs or Nocs would be nice, but I’d need to find a deal like Dexter found.

The Lama's look great. Bullhide or Buffalo? I have some old Nocs that are similar.

I have a high arch and most boots (even some nice ones) don't have much and they are in the wrong spot. Old Nocona and Dan Post Tx made pre 90s do have it just perfect for me. I have some nice Chisos that feel fantastic, but low arch and your can want to slide. They got everything right about those but that.

Excellent! Have him get a number

I mostly play the ‘15, the ‘05 Studip, either Bach NR, and lately that $200 CP as I’m letting new strings settle and dialing it in with a Supertone. The LECS TV Silver also gets a surprising amount of love because it has a great neck and tapes that work well for Ska, Reggae, and Beatles. When I’m at the mountain the Epi Blackbird gets a lot of attention. I rotate the others in for kicks. A few of them need some tweaking that I’m slowly getting done. One can never have enough Thunderbirds!
One's all I ever needed-or seriously wanted.
I tried to love-or even like-the EpiBird 5er. Nope.

how come?
Not my thing.

Back in the eighties, early nineties, there was a Kern County judge who made fun of L.A. lawyers who would appear in his courtroom wearing cowboy boots. For some reason, some L.A. types thought it was clever to wear them when they came to the “country.” It would get pretty hilarious at times when they realized how much it annoyed that judge.
