Thx V!....and the Friday night gig literally a couple of miles up on hwy 9.....not much that excites me about Hollister gig wise....for me, all going on in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties with the Santa Cruz mountains being a popular area for live bands.....I had a quick look on Google Maps, that's a bit of a drive from Hollister - Have a great show, Chuck!
sorry Geoff, they won't let you into the Grand Ole Opry with those......Forgetting my hiking boots, I have 2 pairs of RMW “Tambo” boots. Which are the same as the most popular “Craftsman” boots but in a wider fitting and with a wider, flat (squarer?) toe. Both being “Chelsea boots” in style.
They make Tambo in 2 colours only, Black and Chestnut. I have RMW belts in the matching colours. Fancy hey?
(I also have RMW strides, a couple pairs of socks and a few polo shirts - the socks and polos have been presents from kids / grandson).
My Akubra is a Cattleman, same model as Slim Dusty and many others, and I have an Akubra belt as well.
Shot I really should be singing Country and folk!

These are my old DPs. Feel perfect.Never had the holy boots, but absolutely love my black bull hides. I bought mine in Gatlinburg TN back in 1984, I wear them several times a week and they are still going strong! Elephant is about the only thing I’ve found that might outlast bull hide, I bought a pair back in 1990 and they still look brand new. I’ve had my mountain goats for a few years now but I don’t think they’re nearly as durable and the others, super comfy though.
I’ll have to check out eBay to see in I can find some pre 1990’s Nocs, none of their new stuff fits me. Never been a Dan Post fan, they always came across to me as more of a utility boot than a western boot. My utility boots are Ariat’s, great work boots.
Some now have a hard nylon/plastic shank. But finding which ones would take a little time.I have wanted a pair of boots for a long time. I also don't know when I would ever wear them. So, no boots unless they are Red Wing work boots. Those, I have and wear a lot. And motorcycle boots. Those are part of my commuting attire most days. If cowboy boots would go through TSA without having to take them off, I might consider a pair. They typically have a steel shank, so nope.
Ha! yeah, really. Don't know about JT's habits, but Chris gave up drinking a couple years ago.no whiskey?..
not for years....woke up early morning on the couch in the front porch of that place once.Do you ever play at Apple Jacks?
I've never been inside but have passed it on a bike & my VFR many times over the years. I knew that Neil would frequent it - Ken Kesey (RIP) also.not for years....woke up early morning on the couch in the front porch of that place once.
when Neil Young used to do cameos there....
These are my old DPs. Feel perfect.

They are out of business, but if you can find some Cuero boots they might fit. I have 4 pair of these that I got as they were selling off what they had. Don't think I paid more than $99 for them. (These are easily made like $300 boots.) Two were the same color and I dyed them black. They are made extremely well. Very soft Calf, fully lined, arch in the right spot. Think Tecovas but better in a number of ways. Some still float around on ebay, etc., and they did offer wide sizes. These also feel custom made for me.
These are dark brown. These have a "french Toe" and can be casual or very dressy.

Don't know why they moved away from that that headstock...so much more Birdlike....mentioned it before but hard to believe those were the cheapest basses on the Guitar Trader rag back in the day some going for under 250 with ohsc! was tempted often, too bad I never pulled the trigger....My only work boots are Redwings with the protective toes- used to wear for field work at the job before I retired. Nowadays I use them on the property in Florida when I'm out clearing brush, working on the tractor or mowing. Definitely use them whenever I unlimber the chainsaw or axe for firewood.Never had the holy boots, but absolutely love my black bull hides. I have two pair of Justin Ropers- one in tan and one in black- but I rarely wear them anymore. They just didn't fit the boating lifestyle -I have three pair of boots — Tony Lama cowboy boots, Renn faire outfit boots, and a waterproof, insulated pair of hiking boots I bought for Alaska (not shown). I hadn’t had cowboy boots in years. A godson’s wedding was my excuse to buy a pair but I decided last minute and had to rush. The Tony Lamas were the only pair in the store that fit that I liked that would also go with my suit. A pair of Lucs or Nocs would be nice, but I’d need to find a deal like Dexter found.

I used to turn my belt slightly to the side. Before I bought the all natural "gut" buckle rash preventer ...While we're on wardrobe- did I show you this?
Buckle rash precluder given I'm either too absentminded or lazy to make accommodations on the fly- this is my default belt-

Remodeled somewhat about stent years ago..... hadn't seen any TLC in decades....you could literally find WW2 newspapers and stuff like that in corner tables....an ancient saloon piano by a big window in the back overlooking a ravine...a real old school gem....ever hear of the long gone "White Cockade" on hwy 9?....I've never been inside but have passed it on a bike & my VFR many times over the years. I knew that Neil would frequent it - Ken Kesey (RIP) also.
