While we're on wardrobe- did I show you this?

Buckle rash precluder given I'm either too absentminded or lazy to make accommodations on the fly- this is my default belt-

They offer nicer styles than my plain one- western and others and a variety of colors- and they're not crazy expensive-

Kinda fergot I had these in the closet. Real comfortable some years ago, but either the boots shrunk or my feets got wider. IMG_1073.jpeg

My only work boots are Redwings with the protective toes- used to wear for field work at the job before I retired. Nowadays I use them on the property in Florida when I'm out clearing brush, working on the tractor or mowing. Definitely use them whenever I unlimber the chainsaw or axe for firewood.
My “mountain boots.” The only other boots I have are my Simms wading boots.

Someone asked if there were extra screw holes under by tug bar given its position over a PG screw. Well, no extra holes and it’s clearly been there for some time as the color under is white compared to the “cream” of the exposed PG.

That would be me - very odd.., not the regular placement for sure but maybe a late Friday job.

Not aware of this - are they still available? If wearing a belt, I shift the buckle to my left hip to avoid 'buckle rash'.

Trying to figure out what happened to my recording setup. No changes but now when the audio interface is plugged into Waveform, the vocals have virtually no volume. Unplug the interface and Waveform sounds perfect. Unfortunately, you need the interface to record the bass.......

So, I gave it shot hoping I could hear well enough to get something useful with the 64. Love CCR because the bass lines are simple and can be dumbed down if need be. The exported MP4 doesn't have the volume issues.

Remodeled somewhat about stent years ago..... hadn't seen any TLC in decades....you could literally find WW2 newspapers and stuff like that in corner tables....an ancient saloon piano by a big window in the back overlooking a ravine...a real old school gem....ever hear of the long gone "White Cockade" on hwy 9?....
No, but that's another favorite road for cycling & motorcycling both east & west of Skyline. If descending westward on 9, I'd cut through Big Basin park and loop around back to 9 for the return climb. The descent east to Saratoga needs respect as it's fast and in some parts twisty. I've never gone down descending it but I know friends who have. There is a cool coffee house in Saratoga (Big Basin Cafe) where I always would stop for a break after that descent that I think has live music.

well played :bassist:

Canned Tamales? That’s just wrong.
But absolutely necessary for 5string's patented "Frito Pie of Death"!

Fritos
Can of Wolf brand
Chopped onion
More cheese than necessary (American, if you're feeling particularly suicidal)
3 or 4 of the canned tamales

Toss chili, cheese, and tamales in a bowl and heat in microwave. Add onion and Fritos after heating.

I haven't eaten this in 10-15 years, as l did indeed get wiser with age.

Skip dessert.🤢🤮

Sometimes there will be a glitch requiring a reboot of the computer, other times you nave too much load on a non-powered USB hub and need to plug directly into the computer or get a hub with an external power supply

Was having that issue in Logic recording a second take of a guitar part when I wanted to play along with the previously recorded track for comparison. I could record if I went solo with the bass and drum track but not the other.

Sometimes it’s just a case of turning off input monitoring after you record the track and/or turn off the “Record Enable” function-

Turns out that in Logic Pro you want to record while listening to another previously recorded take, you have to create a duplicate track.

I have two separate laptops, one with Waveform 11 and one with Waveform 12. I even tried MixPad. All had the same issue. It has to be something with the audio interface. Just frustrating since I didn't change anything and it worked fine for years.

In Florida on a new 2025 iMac 24 I have an Apogee Duet interface and an Alesis USB keyboard controller on an unpowered USB hub which worked fine until I plugged in my Samsung 1TB SSD to transfer data saved from the old iMac.

So things were working smoothly until I started transferring files from the SSD while trying to record- turns out the SSD was drawing just enough power to tax the USB voltage to cause issues with the interface.

I wound up plugging in the Duet’s optional proprietary power supply and it solved the issue. I could have plugged either directly into the computer to avoid the issue but figured I’d just leave the power supply plugged in just in case-

Back in Texas with a 2024 iMac 24 I have the IK Multimedia AXE I/O interface which requires an external power supply at all times. I was having issues when plugged into an unpowered USB so I plugged straight into the computer until I recently acquired a powered uSB which the interface is happy with-

Also USB memory sticks seem to work better with the USB 3.0 powered hub-

I used to turn my belt slightly to the side. Before I bought the all natural "gut" buckle rash preventer ...
In the recent band, we wore Aloha shirts untucked. Belt buckle covered. B4 that, I either turned the buckle to the left or was wearing a jacket/coat/whatever. There's almost no marks on the back of my 'Bird. The lower edge where it was-unknown to me-bumping into my baritone sax, is another story. And the once detached headstock.
Some fine looking old growth Honduran mahogany there. Plus one other pair of (rubber) boots I fergot about.
