Luc's are certainly the Cadillac of boots. Unfortunately I've heard their quality has slipped in recent years. Hopefully not. I know you love 'em and maybe one day I'll have some. I would love to just try some one day.

I've worn them since I was a little kid growing up in the MidWest. Current faves are my Dan Post rough-outs.
Same here. Had boots as a kid, later teen and young adult and got a way when mine were ruined in a flooded basement. But began getting a few in recent years--14 pair I think now.... I have enough. Maybe. But I wear them more days than not.

Going along with many of my favorite things all begin with B (Bass, BBQ, Boots and Bibs). I found some old Nocona's from the '80s (still made in Nocona, TX). Made a cheap offer based on the issues. Kind of seen better days on the outside though having little actual wear on the soles. Had some scuffs and a couple scrapes that when through the finish. Got the sfuffs removed, cleaned and conditioned, sanded (yes) the scrapes and got some Saphir with plenty of pigment to address and then when over the vamp (bottom part) and made them look nearly new and lightened up just a bit. Old Nocona's fit me like a custom made glove. Great for playing Thunderbirds regardless of color.

Looked like this initially.

Wow. My mate was in Texas for work last week (San Antonio I think). The same guy that goes over about 4 times a year.
Anyway, I was prodding him
“Are you going to buy a Stetson?”
“Are you going to buy some Cowboy boots?” 😊

He didn’t answer about the Stetson, but he reckons the boots are too expensive.

I’m not making fun, ok not too much, because I have 2 pairs of RM Williams boots and an Akubra hat myself. I’ve never worn boots that high up the leg though. I have enough trouble wrestling my RMW’s on - one piece of leather, no zip - just elastic on the sides and pull tabs sewn in for leverage.

RMW got rescued by Australia’s 2nd richest person… production stayed in Australia but the price has gone up enormously so nice he took them over.

Why buy a Stetson when you can buy an Akubra?

My boots had spurs....................

Post covid, it's 3" kitten heels for this girl.

I have three pair of boots — Tony Lama cowboy boots, Renn faire outfit boots, and a waterproof, insulated pair of hiking boots I bought for Alaska (not shown). I hadn’t had cowboy boots in years. A godson’s wedding was my excuse to buy a pair but I decided last minute and had to rush. The Tony Lamas were the only pair in the store that fit that I liked that would also go with my suit. A pair of Lucs or Nocs would be nice, but I’d need to find a deal like Dexter found.

I have some nice steel-toed Chippewa engineers boots I wear if casual dress on my VFR. (when not full leathers) Took a bit to break in but they are worth it: comfy, durable and protective.

Not my hand or boot :) - but just like mine! And I don't pilot a roadster...

Forgetting my hiking boots, I have 2 pairs of RMW “Tambo” boots. Which are the same as the most popular “Craftsman” boots but in a wider fitting and with a wider, flat (squarer?) toe. Both being “Chelsea boots” in style.
They make Tambo in 2 colours only, Black and Chestnut. I have RMW belts in the matching colours. Fancy hey?
(I also have RMW strides, a couple pairs of socks and a few polo shirts - the socks and polos have been presents from kids / grandson).
My Akubra is a Cattleman, same model as Slim Dusty and many others, and I have an Akubra belt as well.

Shot I really should be singing Country and folk!
