Thunderbird Club

Gig dates? Would love to make one and support you.
Thanks mang, I'm not sure if we're doing any shows very soon, tho we had been talking that up back in April. I'll surely plaster up some bandwidth here if we do though! First round' s on me.

I'd LOVE to hear your stuff man! Let us know when your disc is ready. I'll buy the first copy!
Ha! Sure man, hopefully it rolls out faster than the last one! I remember one day thinking, about 8 years later, "Hey, whatever happened to this tracks we recorded?,,," Lol. I think we'll be on it this time! Energy is good for it.

Nice! I will be 50 this October and got asked to join a band about year ago. So far have a 5 song EP out (mt. vengeance on Spotify/i-tunes etc.) and just recorded another 8 songs for a release, hopefully in the fall. I have done more music related stuff in the last year than in the previous 20!
Isn't it interesting how and when opportunity unfolds? I guess that's why we keep at it, so that when it does we're ready to jump on...
Good to hear it. Link us up man!

SVT-VR, drooling and tongue dragging across the floor.

Certainly not the Acoustic monster that I've had the joy to play through in the past but more than plenty loud for any indoor event and most outdoor events. The Bergantino Nv610 cab is the best sounding easy to schlep form factor I've found for bass work to date. Every bit as loud as an Ampeg 810 fridge but lighter and a tad smaller. It's easier to load in and out, easier to drag half a block and easier to haul up and down stairs than any 410 I've found. The trick is in the tilt back wheels, top backside grab bar and low grab handles on each side. Now if I could just find an easy schlep method for the SVT head I've have it made. :D

Best of both worlds when it comes to tone options:
CTS No-Load 250K Tone Pot | Allparts.com

when pot is on '10' it's completely removed from circuit...unless you don't believe in physics.

You can easily make one yourself :

That works too.

@ProgressiveDoom, the 'no tone controls' thing is functional for me - if I don't ever use them there's no point in me having them. They're just clutter and something with the potential to go wrong, or to get knocked, or, or, or ...

Doesn't necessarily work for other people. That's life.

We recorded and mixed in a about a day and half.

I was thinking more of you having to lug that refrigerator up & down stairs!
I lug a 360 up and down stairs. It's a slow, methodical process, but it's not physically taxing if you do it right. There's no way to lug a 410 cabinet up and down stairs in a slow, methodical, untaxing way. If I was going to be stuck with a 410, it would be two 210 cabinets instead.
