Many said that spontaneous generation was the ticket- Aristotle's theory was held to be scientific fact for nearly 2000 years until 1861 when Louis Pasteur proved them wrong. Mind you there were a couple of dissenters along the way- both Italians - physician Franciso Redi in the mid 17th century, and Lazaro Spallazini, an Italian Catholic priest who also happened to be a biologist and physiologist, challenged it in the mid-1700's. But as we all know, the "scientific concensus" is always right- not the actual facts.

I know you didn't mean to type that and your fingers rebelled and went off script.

On my Macbook Pro it sounded just fine. Like the bass on old Staple Singers recordings. No way to no hear David Hood and others who played on their recordings.

Best I can do at this point, and my first ever posted audio clip playing...

First minute of "Thrill Live" backing track from GBS with me playing my Guild Starfire I through the Rumble Studio 40 on preset "Basic Showman."

Backing track from phone via Bluetooth to amp, mixed with live play out the USB port to a very old copy of Audacity.

The bass is way too loud in the mix because I was trying to check my dynamics and sustain.

Fingers crossed this works...

Thank you. It was something else when I got it. I knew it when I got it. The guy I got it from (Chris Stapelton's friend and bass player) was going to restore it, but it was going to be more involved than the seller he got it from indicated, so he was just sitting on it. I was talking to him about always wanting a NR and mentioned if he ever had anything "cheap" and not a collector I might be interested. He had been planning to restore it and had many of the parts but offered it to me if I wanted it. If not he would get around to it one day. The rest is history. It's fantastic. I love playing it and miss when I don't use it.

Given your Ford, you will appreciate the color if Ford Ruby Red Metallic. Same as my truck.

Someone "refinished" it at some point. Sanded with a floor sander while drunk and applied some poly--too much in some places.
It had Jazz pups in it at some point, and extra holes for controls.
Had 8 different bridges on it (slight exaggeration), more holes than Bonnie and Clyde's car.
Had a decent neck/headstock repair, but was left unfinished and rough.

The comps to the 760s may have been me as well. Those do sound more "rough around the edges" and vintage you might say. Also seem to have more lows and and have more output.

What is your preferred filler. On my boat, when I was doing fiberglass and some wood repairs I used West System Epoxy with one of their four grades of powder fillers, occasionally with wood plugs, depending on how structural the repair was. Of course there were times when I used cloth or mat with polyester resin.

More pix and vids will have to wait, but Ray Benson's 75th Birthday Bash was a blast! Los Lonely Boys, Asleep at the Wheel, a fiddler whose name I missed, Hays Carl, Rick Treviño and Josh Baca, Stanley freaking Jordan, and Jimmy Vaughn. So many legends on one stage. So many cool songs. Stanley did some off the chain jazz stuff, then led the bands in "City of New Orleans". Natch, we sang along. Jimmy did a couple of standards and his tunes, then led the band in Texas Flood. I kinda teared up.

JoJo Garza with Los Lonely Boys is a monster player with drool-worthy tone:

Sounds like a rocket on a cracker!

I kid about the truck and call it my twin turbo 4 Wheel drive Mustang with 4 doors and huge trunk.

Our Expedition Platinum is tuned to 400 HP (3.5 twin turbo as well). Just a little higher than the truck. But weighs what two Mustangs run! It and the truck are shockingly quick. Handling.... well......It rides great and will massage your back and butt, is also 4WD so it's a trade off I reckon!

Beautiful. If I could get into a 60's bird I would, goodness me are they spenny!

She is just under 500hp as it sits! I have considered boosting it (easy 800) however I prefer "drivers" cars that are good for twistie roads so it is a handling beast. I run a parts distribution company and we are developing our own 8-1 header system so this thing will literally howl like 90's F1 cars....

With that and changing the rear gears to 4.56 it should be right on 500 with similar torque. That and semi slicks will be wicked.

Here is a link to a track I recorded with my old '14 Tbird whcih had thunderbuckers at the time. This was fed into a GK2001rb and a NV610 with some sidechain grit added (I think with a Darkglass B7K) and daddario XL's. Funnily enough I overdubbed my own bass parts with a gibson firebird guitar.

Sadly that band fell apart in spectacular rock n roll fashion with exceptional ego, drug abuse and the producer who kept us going sadly took his own life. But I am glad we got to record this track. Particularly proud of the ending...all down strokes baby.

The first chords of MRS SIPPI MIX 5 01 made me think of Link Wray (Rumble)! Really nice recording - really distinct and articulate expression of each instrument & vocalist. Compliment your engineer! I could hear the doubling with your Firebird - very cool/effective. For me recording is mandatory. Live is fun and heady, but recording is a document of what a (short-lived in this case) band achieved collectively.

I usually don't play this style of rock, but I fully appreciate any flavor delivered so dynamically!
