'Zackly. I could do the same with the 67NR. Headstock's already been detached once.At these (unrealistic) prices--I might start parting out my '76!

I know you’re joking. But just the thought of someone doing that really gets me riled up.At these (unrealistic) prices--I might start parting out my '76!
Yes. Upgrade the garage. I’ll take care of the amps and basses.

My daily driver is a 2014 (last year for the naturally aspirated V8 engine) Cayenne GTS, love it and love how it handles with the GTS package, much better than the newer V6 twin turbo Cayennes. They’ve just recently reintroduced the V8, so I might be tempted to buy a newer one when this one wears out. My backup car is a Boxster S and is currently up for sale, might already be sold if the verbal deal doesn’t fall through. Then there’s my fun car, a 1997 911 (last full model year for the air cooled Porsches), just a classic and good looking car in a relatively rare zenith blue (shifts from blue to violet in the sun)…The best engineered car that I have owned. You can change a clutch without removing the bell housing. Chipped it and did an airbox mod to it. It redlined the 3.0-liter, 246hp, inline 4 banger at 8,200 rpm. One of the largest cubic inch 4 cylinders ever made. They have twin balance shafts and man they are smooth revving. It outran a C5 Corvette and a Cobra Mustang. It made it from Vacaville, Ca. to Fairbanks, Ak in 45 hours. Did you know the speed limit in Canada is 100MPH? Hee, hee. I blew a head gasket and when I pulled the head off, I discovered that a previous owner had let the timing belt break which meant valve meets piston and a cast iron cylinder sleeve needed to be installed. I was going to supercharge it, but that prompted the sale. Sold it and got a 6.2-liter (no replacement for displacement) C6 Corvette and put on an Edelbrock supercharger, long tube headers with no cats. It's tuned to about 700hp at the crank and will do 200mph. The C6 Vette is a basic clone of the 968, front engine with rear transaxle giving near perfect 50/50 weight distribution. I never was much of a Vette fan boy but the bang for the buck was hard to pass on. The turbo 911 is my dream car. I do have my eye on a used 400hp Porsche Cayenne S, sweet cars.
Only if you have enough Thunderbirds.

Stupid question, is 7 enough?Only if you have enough Thunderbirds.

I was thinking that, too! What you have going here is way better, your vocalist/guitarist is quite good and I think it's inspiring the rest of you.
YupI know you’re joking. But just the thought of someone doing that really gets me riled up.
Same here on SF - Real Guitars - mostly (all used) guitars, a handful of basses/bass amps. I bought my '66 P there. A worth-while visit if in SF - good guys who run it. Not as big as Daves in Santa Cruz. I check in regularly as my (neck) luthier Dan Ransom has his shop there. There's a place like that here. All kinds of great old and some new guitar amps. About 4 bass amps. Haven't been there in several years.
