Well played! Guess we know her name now as well.867-5309
Both Bugatis are soooo iconic!Yep real.
Both Bugatti’s on loan to the museum by the owner. That Veyron is seriously impressive to look at. Seems wider than it is long.
Type 35, wow don’t often see these around!
Unless you used really fine finishing sandpaper (~2000 or more), you may put fine scratches in it. A deglosser could get you close. Maybe. Depends on how it reacts with the current paint and finish. But you would need to apply a little at a time for a short time to see how it goes. Might need to spread it well beyond the area so it blends. No way to know until to try.Found an .STL file and ran a test-print in black matte... I'll have to flip the face and reprint but from 2-3 feet away you can't even tell

Would you guys have an idea on how to get the matte finish back between the 2 pickups? That shine is bothering me. Scothbrite pad/fine sandpaper maybe? or would that ruin it ?
Never heard of a deglosser... I'll have to look it up, thanksUnless you used really fine finishing sandpaper (~2000 or more), you may put fine scratches in it. A deglosser could get you close. Maybe. The guard looks great! As for the gloss area between the pickups, it’s pretty much a feature of that finish. The more wear it gets in a given area the more it glosses up in that area. Personally, I’d treat it as natural and authentic player wear, a sort of relic job that will continue to spread to other areas of the body as you continue to play the bass. It’s what makes it yours. I typically play my goth between the neck pup and the neck heel, so I suspect I’ll see some shining up there some day if it hasn’t already happened.Found an .STL file and ran a test-print in black matte... Cool! Have you thought of embossing the Goth logo on the pickguard?Found an .STL file and ran a test-print in black matte... I'll have to flip the face and reprint but from 2-3 feet away you can't even tell

Actually the stl had the original tbird logo, I removed itCool! Have you thought of embossing the Goth logo on the pickguard?
I have a 2013 Gibson EB. It originally had a matte finish like your Thunderbird. Over time, it has burnished to an amazing satin in most places and high gloss where it gets a lot of wear. I got it used, but the original owner did not play it much. All the wear is since I got it. It will happen all over in time.Never heard of a deglosser... I'll have to look it up, thanks![]()
Make it your own. It chose you. Now you can return the favor and choose to make it really yours.Actually the stl had the original tbird logo, I removed itI am thinking of adding a custom logo... Just don't know what to put yet
Maybe this place? Potentiometer - Tocos, RV24, Linear, 10%, 6mm Shaft | Amplified PartsDoes anyone have a way to contact Ray @/\/\3phist0 ?
I tried a dm, but it says he’s maxed on messages in his inbox.
He was able to get some specific potentiometers (Tocos), and he sent me a link to where he bought them. I was able to purchase some and I’d like some more, but I can’t seem to find the place that would only sell a few. The sales rep for the actual company is talking lots of 100.
Should add that the banquet included Kibbe Nayeh - the raw lamb dish. My friends “encouraged” me to try it. I had a couple of bits and I didn’t get sick. So that’s something.Lebanese banquet (at Byblos Restaurant Nth Adelaide) for dinner Sunday night.

You're a braver man than I.Should add that the banquet included Kibbe Nayeh - the raw lamb dish. My friends “encouraged” me to try it. I had a couple of bits and I didn’t get sick. So that’s something.
They did have motorcycles there. A whole room full of them that I didn’t take much notice of as they aren’t my thing and time was getting short.I actually saw one of those in person about 50 years ago. It was not especially big. It ran, more or less, which was a complete thrill for the 16 year old me.
I had a similar experience much later. I saw a Vincent motorcycle. It ran, made a great sound, and leaked oil. It was fully authentic.

Yes, I had had steak tartare some years ago and thought it was ok. So I jumped in with this. All good. It tasted ok but I wouldn’t go looking for it. But if it came up again at a nice place I’d eat it - a piece or two anyway.I had never eaten Tartare until I went to Paris, I realized it might be awhile before I got back there so I ate a lot of new and different food - glad I did, life's too short.
