Went into town and watched my team get pummeled. Horrific.
3 games yesterday, games 1 (us) & 3 (in Melbourne) were thrashings, game 2 over in NZ was an arm wrestle.
All games had an Anzac Day pregame presentation with the Last Post, and A & NZ Anthems. That part was great.
The far left of one of the photos shows a horse that had been paraded to that spot by the soldier handler. Can’t see from this angle but he had a couple of Army riding boots in the stirrups - to symbolise the Unknown Soldier (I think).
Navy played Airforce in an earlier game and the start of pre match was a couple of guys parachuting onto the field - pretty sure one of them delivered the Trophy or game ball.
You could get the matching headband too... but 'never go full Knopfler'.What about something like these. They seem like the old school WBs that were thick (do more of the intended work), and not tight. What you have seems to offer minimal cushion.

Fast inspection on the way to putting them in the HEPA-filtered "drying shed" looked way better. Proof will be after they shrink down while drying.
I still see grain, and I dont see obvious pitting from the sanded-out bubbles, so...
Going to cure a day or two before a coulle coats of clear. Then I have to be ready to do the burst.
Still practicing on cardstock.

It’s a very moving and serious event. I’m not sure how much of these stages are universal, how much is just Commonwealth, or even if it is just Aus/NZ. I’m guessing most is universal.
The order of the serious part of proceedings is:
1/ The Ode of Remembrance: Recited.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
All repeat: Lest we forget.
2/ The Last Post: Bugle call signaling the end of the day.
3/ Period of Silence: Usually one or two minutes of reflection.
4/ Reveille or Rouse: Reveille for dawn services, Rouse for later services.
5/ National Anthem(s): Australian & New Zealand National Anthems.

I've had the EHX version on my pedal board for a few years. I only use it when the singer says can you change the key and my brain says yes and my fingers tie themselves in knots. Pretty normal for a hack like me.
