We had an earthquake yesterday ~2PM. I didn't know anything about it 'til this morning.
Who knew.
Monday, June 8, residents across Florida felt shaking from a 6.1-magnitude earthquake located approximately 62–73 miles west of Mantua, Cuba. This event, occurring around 2:00 p.m. EDT, is recorded as the strongest earthquake ever documented in the Gulf of Mexico region. Impact: Tremors were widely felt from Miami and the Keys to Orlando, Tampa, and as far north as Jacksonville and Tallahassee.

That is a decent sized quake. Depending on where it happened, it would get some attention around here where we are more used to those.

Meanwhile friends traversing KS pulled over for a couple of hours so the 80+ mph winds didn’t blow them over. They later saw other vans and a few semis on their sides.

Mike, I’m glad you’re fine!

Did the same in Cozad, NE when a tornado hit. Golf ball size hail in 80mph winds does a lot of damage to a car. Overpasses are your friend.

They can help with hail and some wind, but due to the "wind tunnel effect" and wind speed increases, it's actually not recommended. I might head to one as well as it just seems natural, but experts point out that they are often more dangerous and it's not recommended. But I get it. One of those counterintuitive things of life. Pick your poison I guess.

I used to be a nice gurl.......

Happy Tuesday, I caved in and bought tix for RUSH, 10/10/26 in Seattle. Frank has never seen them and I haven't been to a concert in this century yet, so it's time to get out of the house!

Glad you're helping Scott's bass roadie get established and make a living.

I'm sure it will be impressive and well worth it.

It’ll no doubt be great. Word is that Anika is a superstar. It looks like they paced the dates, they added a keyboardist so Geddy can take those duties off his plate…I think their goal is to have fun and give fans something to remember. The money ain’t bad either.

Anika is an absolute beast if she can get into Peart territory at all. Seems like she can own it, meaning I'm just happy to be the same species as people like her.

I posed the question of 1965 or '66 for Non Reverse over here as well, we may never really know, but Jules site is really highly considered when it comes to this kind of thing - his production totals for other years being deemed accurate.

Lots of good stuff on YT from the LA show, very cool to see Geddy playing different basses for certain songs. I know not everyone is a fan - but I'm excited to go with Frank, he loves them!
