Thunderbird Club

This how the version Raymond Lowey designed (including the tasteful Brunswick green and pinstripe scheme) the original version was covered in rivets and resembled an early battleship. Art Deco streamline, very cool.

This was at The Boonton Rail Museum in NJ.
They have an open house once a year, they bring out some of the restored equipment.
Last year wasn't so great, and vandals broke in and defaced one of the two GG1's.

The 8ve pedal track okay?
OK. I might send it by PM because I'm shy though. The pedal tracks reasonably well, but not perfectly all the time, and there are some notes it doesn't sustain on but the bass does.

I found a dead spot I didn't remember on the fretless' neck. It's right at the fifth fret C on the D string. The 2015 and 1991 have similar weak spots, so I'm thinking that's pretty routine even though it's not a 7ender. The 2001 is completely live up and down. One more reason it's been sprinkled with fairy dust or something. I even turn into rainbows and unicorns when playing it.

Should you ever make it out to PA this place is pretty cool.

I have been a couple of time and it is truly awe inspiring ( if you like trains, that is....)

Not sure why, the local liquor store had it for $65.
Bought 2.

If you had bought 3, it would have been like getting 1 bottle free.

It's like government economics.. spend 50% more than your budget to get a 35% savings.

Or, or... by one for regular price($100) and get the next one for $30! I'd have gone for the discounted second bottle as it would be the best deal. ;)

Must be they either didn't make many of 'em and/or people gobbled 'em up. I've spent a ridiculous amount of time browsing the www since I was shown the magic of the 'bird, and this is the first one I've seen in cherry. Maaaaan... I'm bummed. I thought I'd really found somethin' there:sour:

There's also a cherry Nikki Sixx Limited Edition. Pretty sweet looking and different.
