I caught that tour twice when they were around here, probably the best performance and sound since Saints of Los Angeles tour. The concerts in between those 2, Vince's performance, and ability to remember the lyrics were not the greatest, unfortunately.

1989. I was going for a masters at the University of Washington. My wife and I got married after having been together for six years or so. Our son was born almost exactly one year later, but that's for the next page. We had bought our house the year before we got married. I still don't know how we got a loan or how we mananaged to pay the mortgage for the first few years.

That bass wants you to play it with a pick, in a rock band setting you'll get the best driving articulate Big Angry Piano tone.

Probably was a mistake, it has more to do me than my ex, looking back I realize that I should have been single all my life - Relationships (other than friendships) are not something I seem to do real well with, I certainly don't mind living alone, there's always more than plenty of fun things to do and I have a lot of wonderful people as part of my life.

I set the height by ear making sure the strings don't hit either pickup when fretting D# on the G. Pups are lower on the E side to get an even balance between all four strings but that's generally true for any pickup.

Bridge pickup gets set first , then neck matched to it for equal output between the two. Bridge pup usually needs to be be closer to the strings even though generally higher output than neck. Less energy down there.
