Yup! I'm with you, Larry. In their earlier days, I blew them off as more trendy corporate noise that existed solely because of Nirvana/Cobain. It wasn't until I caught some of the lyrics and interviews that I decided I needed to listen to them some more. I'm damn glad I did! Dave writes from his heart, and from his experiences. That
always makes the best songs. He recognizes how fortunate he is, and appreciates those who helped get him there. He keeps one foot in his roots, and one constantly looking for whatever's next. He's as legit as they come. I'll encourage anyone who hasn't already seen it, to watch his movie "Sound City". There's a lotta great stuff in there, and ya learn a lot about the guy
