While being single is a lonely existence, it does have the advantage of no one aside from myself to question my bass purchasing.
Though, maybe that's a disadvantage for my finances.

Well it is an odd number.
I wasn't hugely impressed with ABH Pitt St staff when I was there. Got the impression that if I didn't want to spend $5k on a Les Paul I was dead to them.
Some features are consistent across all branches -- chaos and lousy stock control.
Went and got my EB-3 today. Traded a nice Squier P-neck (played it for quite a few years, a regular gig-stick), a JBL K-140 driver and a Peavey cab I'd modded for it. Took it to the practice space on the way to my next stop to pick up a piece of weekend work, and ran it into the Crate head. The available tones are a bit limited, it is what it is, but I got something I like out of it in short order. Nice little bass! I'm playing it Saturday at a street fest in Newport with the reggae band.
And here she is... very poorly done selfie, but the vibe is there: I am pleased.
(It's blurry, but we all know what an EB-3 looks like.)

Am indeed, thanks! It comes with a nice set of flats on it, which is doing a nice thing for the feel and sound of it. Weighs almost nothing, gonna be fun.

Nice bass, hope it brings you great gigs in the future.
You guys keep persuading me more and more to get an EB-3. Always been 50/50 in my mind with them. But the more I hear people talking good about them, the more I want one. Plus the ebony one looks great, I'm at about 70/30 FOR the bass now.
Wish it was at the price it was though, I think it's gone up about £100 in the U.K. from what it was before, still fairly in my price range though. Still, enough persuasion may push me to get one. But I've still got the new Epi Embassy Pro Bass on the top of my list, so it may have to wait.

Epiphone does some good mojo in their design dept.
I kinda like that Embassy too, but I started out in my first band with a Gibson EB-0. It was a fixer-upper, and my dad and I fixed it up pretty sharp. That was a rare moment for the old man and me, which maybe has some little to do with my affinity for it... but I was also a big Jack Bruce-Felix Pappalardi fan in my early years, so there's that too.
I also have no actual use for an upper horn on a bass, so the EB design is a natural. And done right, the sound is very funky, bluesy, and woofy, all at the same time. And it just looks cool.
Yeah, so, you know. Get one!

Absolutely fantastic amp.
Yeah, my plan is three as well. I have three Hercules wall mounts. I've had the Thunderbird, the Carvin, and the POS Flying V, with the Jazz in the back of the closet. Now that that's gone and the RNR is coming home soon, I'll get rid of the POS Flying V and just have the Thunderbird twins and the Carvin. Never getting rid of the Carvin. I love that bass and it's got a lot of sentimental value to me.
