Thunderbird Club

@TBird1958, how was Saturday nights gig?

I'm back home now, first, the trip out and time there in Pt Angeles was so beautiful, the weather was Autumn perfect, sunny and clear about 65 degrees, I love Washington! The show went really well, our sub drummer is very good (one or two minor F ups that only I noticed) and we played 3 really good one hour sets to about 300 peeps that were all dressed for the High Holiday. We had only one rehearsal before the show, it went fine as well so I'm quite pleased with the trip, we made a cool 2K for our efforts and had a great weekend.
I've also interviewed two drummer candidates so November will be all about that, should interesting, looks like I'll have new Epi to use :D

More like a thrower outer. I messed around with the 4 track to get a sample for you last night, hang tight while I sift through life to find the time to post it. Got a brake job to do, a hockey game to watch and anything the wife has for me on the to do list. Coming soon.
Same kind of boat, for God's sake don't hurry! Lol, live the way that's good.

@Count Bassie . This sample is very short, the 4 Track wasnt playing nice with me last night so I just took a time out today to throw some sound your way, had no idea what I wanted to do so I just gave er. Worlds better than the original bridge pup, lots of room for tonal variations with the Rick pup. Neck volume - 8 tone -1, Bridge volume - 10 tone - 5

That sounds really interesting- nice growl, but toneful. I like it!

Its anyones guess until its been done, The Rick sound is pretty evident here and the lows get a colorful Rick tint as well but I just wanted to highlight the Treble aspect since we already know what the EB3 pup has to offer.

Would like to hear that recording with the tone wide open on both p/up's.

Last year, just before halloween and the 'Killer Clown' "epidemic", my buddies and I had two clown masks and a unicorn mask, we would take my old truck and drive around the tourist area with them on. There wasn’t a single… there was one person that freaked out… everyone else thought it was hilarious.

that's a good look for you!:D

Careful with the stereotypes, some of us can be quite bonhomous (while still being pretentious).:roflmao:
Heck, life is a stereotype these days. It's unfortunately becoming increasingly impossible to not be pigeonholed into one camp or another. So I guess if you're a good natured yet ostentatious professor wear it like a badge, life could be worse.

Also a fave of mine, they’re playing near Detroit in November so I might go check them out. They have a new singer and I believe one new guitarist, so no Tate, but I’ve seen a couple live vids and the singer sounds good.
New singer is Chris De La Torre, formerly with Crimson Glory. New guitarist is Parker Lundgren, who took over Chris Degarmo's spot. Yes, this post is over 350 posts later than when the OP went up...but that's what you get for running off at the fingers while I'm working a double shift!

Wow. I’m tired from trying to catch up.
* That VP looks great in ebony.
* To the guy asking about his CP, yep, same as the others. Neck pup full on, bridge back a bit.

Now, a question. Any TRex-philes around?
Get it On (Bang a Gong) came on the radio the other day and I hadn’t heard it for ages, really enjoyed it.
Any other suggestions?
I can only really think of that one, Jeepster, Children of the Rev & Hot Love.

Any others in particular I should look out for?

I’ve always had a bit of a soft spot for telegram sam and Metal guru personally
