Commas, dude.
LOL - sorry Kat, twelve commas in one post is my limit. You'll just have to take a deeper breath before you start the sentence.![]()
Too, many, commas, are, at, least, as, great, a, problem,

That theory is correct in regards to Mister Pastorius for sure. The more attention that the bass draws, the less attention that is paid to the appearance of the player. Or at least, that is my theory.

Not sure on that.... T'Bird draws attention to the player me thinks. You need the look to go with it. Was watching a Nasty Habits video yesterday and thinking, yep, the bass - ATTITUDE, the hair - ATTITUDE, the boots - ATTITUDE. Me thinks, you gig a T'Bird, you need to own it, not let it own you! The Southern rock guys look okay, old and wrinkly sporting a T'Bird, but their isn't a middle ground..... You either need to be grooving southern rock, like it's in your blood or have the stage persona of Nikki Sixx or @TBird1958 to pull it off! LOL.
I too am part of the less-than-svelt contingency. If I may be so bold... I think you're looking at the problem, backwards. The T-bird makes us all look betterAll this talk of the ESP Stream..... (Well, it has the vague whiff of a T'Bird, so maybe not completely off-topic.) Frustration about the lack of appearance of both the EPi Embassy Pro and T'Bird Vintage Pro, in the UK, (seriously beginning to doubt we'll see them here this side of Christmas), got the better of me yesterday.... So I have an Ibanez Destroyer inbound, to keep the GAS in-check until then.....

The joke being.... That fast approaching 50, receding hairline, and sporting a little too much belly fat.... The T'Bird isn't a good look on me. I don't plan on wearing this one in public either! LOL.
Band practice went amazing tonight. You know that feeling when your band is playing and the sound of your bass is the greatest sounding bass you have ever played and how you wish the moment would last forever?. We finally exhausted our attempts finding an effects player to join us so we decided to let a 2nd guitar player help with filling in some voids. Well I concerned about having to cut through the sound of two 6ers but not concerned anymore. My Bird was so prominent and powerful I didnt even use any dirt in some songs, when we got to pounding and digging and working through the high registers the clarity of my 70 - 135 gauge strings and the tone were top notch, I feel like I should be riding in a convertible at the front of a parade and holding my Bird in the air like a championship trophy while the crowd rejoices and the press photographers fight for premium real estate for the perfect picture in tomorrows front page news.
I LOVE MY BIRD!![]()
She is the complete package up on that stage, the stuff of legendary proportions.@TBird1958, The Nasty Habits, her basses, that's a league all in it's own.

I saw Gov't Mule last week, and during the gig was wondering how the silk scarf Jorgen Carlsson was wearing whilst playing the 'Bird would look on @TBird1958 ......She is the complete package up on that stage, the stuff of legendary proportions.
