So I had to change the red devils strings on the Goth this morning. Had practice again last night and the D-G strings were just really dead sounding. I had a pack of DR Fat Beams I was going to use on another bass so on they went. Not as bright as I'm used to but that's a good thing. It doesn't look as cool but sounds way better.
I really wish I would've connected with this Epi. I'm really not sure why 'cause it is a nice looking bass. So, here's what I'm doing. I just got a new Epi TBird case for her and I'm putting her away for a while to see how I feel about her sitting stored. Might keep her, might sell her. Just in case I took some pics.
No wonder you never connected with it: it still has the ugly plastic covering the pickups and pickguard and a bunch of stickers on the back of the headstock

I just learned a new term to describe my TV Silver if I choose to sell it.

Nah, that still applies, since its still in the condition it'd be delivered to the retailer in.

Played around and switched the DR legend flats to the classic from the p and did a quick set up for them and WOW! Soooo much sustain totally different strings on the tbird. Like a thump that will ring out forever if you let it if that makes sense. Very cool.

Oh yeah, had my first ever bass lesson today lol. Instructor was cool, 30 year player and teaches bass at the University by me so I think he'll definitely be able to help my theory chops.
Also, brought the classic to the lesson, and the instructor went absolutely nuts for it. Let him play it and I almost couldnt get it back. Went on and on about how great the neck was and how great it sounded.
If that doesn't speak for how great these are, I don't know what does.
