If any of my stuff sells in the next 6 hours, I’ll be bidding on that for true :)
Wow, not gouging on the shipping either at $75. He’ll take a beating on that if it sells anywhere east of the Mississippi.

Pity he doesn’t mention international shipping - at that price even I would be tempted!

It has 8 bids, so I suspect it’ll jump up quite a bit before it’s over. I believe he also has a reserve

Neither have I :roflmao:
Hell I didn’t stop to look at the falls until grade 9 or 10. I drove (well my parents drove) by it a million times, but I never went to actually look at it until then!
You're killing me! I also learned recently that you can do a self guided tour of The Robert Moses power plant. You can't see the turbines post 9/11, but it sounds pretty cool. OK I've wasted enough of the T-Birders time, so I'll make a dignified and graceful exit. Thanks for the conversation.

My package has departed LAX. Wouldn't be surprised if it's going via Tokyo and Bangkok.

Packet steamer would be more romantic -- hopping from port to port across the Pacific, drinking cheap whisky in sailor bars, getting into brawls, outrunning pirates. Probably faster too.

Evan faster, it is being sailed across the Pacific as cargo on a fateful trip, that started from this tropic port aboard this tiny ship....

Waitasecond.... :D:facepalm:

I sent 'Pinky' to San Clemente, CA 10 days ago (25 lbs package weight with case) for $70 including $1800 insurance. USPS Priority Mail, signature required. Shipped on Friday, arrived on Monday. $75 is reasonable IMO, I figure my average USA shipping cost including insurance at around $65. Shipping to WA state is the outlier.

Nobody wants to come here!

We're all Hillbillies

Thanks!
Yeah, I dialed in a nice tone with the amp, but I was wondering, since I'm going to try some different strings anyway, if any were particularly good at de-emphasizing the mids.
I'm all ears on this.
I've noticed my Bolt on neck Bird (Goth, with I think a maple/rosewood neck) is much more mid focused than my Gibson mahogany laminate neck through Bird. Even with a pup change and going from passive to active and stringing with tapewounds there's still a prominent mid hump.

Just got back from the Nethercutt Collection in LA. It was one of our Porsche Club day trips, about 30 of us drove down from Ventura county. Very nicely stocked car museum and vintage music machine museum with a cool 4-6-4 Steam locomotive and Pullman dining and sleeper car.
First a pic for our Queen...

...it's the first time I had actually been up close to a steam locomotive. I had no idea the drive wheels on these things were so massive. Those large wheels connected to the steam pistons were nearly six feet tall!

Lovely Royal Hudson (4-6-4 wheel arrangement is called a "Hudson" after the river in New York), the Canadian Pacific pleasantly styled the locomotive incorporating a bit of a European look to it while retaining a North American look. Maroon with gold pinstripe, very classy.
I'm out for a dinner tonight is the Duesenberg picking me up :woot:
