So this is pretty cool. I got an email out of the blue from a singer I played with a while back asking me to fill in on bass for the last gig of an old band of his on Jan. 20. Pretty flattering, and the music is fun and easy, so I totally said yes.

We in the EU use the comma for decimals, and use the dot to indicate thousands...

Sometime next year I’ll probably go for a black & white duo, as I’m not a big fan of sunburst...

Haven't been here for a couple weeks, drama at home. The Crue tribute has gotten a couple of gigs this month, but on the way to a show, I made a hard turn and had my GK cab slide back and took out the rear window of my Subaru. The next day, the wife woke me up after two hours of sleep to congratulate me on costing 400$ of damage to make 150$. She called it musician math. I call it time to find a 25 year old with Daddy issues.

Sorry to hear about the Subaru ( you know my soft spot for them). Sounds like it's time to shake a leg outta there.

Good news - just got the confirmation that my Ebony TB VP will be delivered tomorrow!
Bad news - where I live in Southern California is surrounded by three out of control wild fires.

Hopefully I still have a house standing to deliver the bass to.

Well Here It IS!View attachment 2835234 View attachment 2835235 Iv'e only had a few minutes to play it but HOLY COW. I will get a couple more pic's later. The tone is wonderful. Very Deep and the growl is something I don't hear on my other bass. Going to be interesting to see what it sounds with the Strings I bought for it. DR High Beams. they had a BOGO free sale. It was worth the Wait for sure. And it weighs under 8 LBS. Good for my Back. Finally, I would love to join the Club. I think I can handle the Initiation.

In the UK (still part of the EU for at least another 15 months despite the actions of a minority of &*#%!s) we use the comma as a thousand delimiter and a full stop as the decimal marker. The idea of using a comma as a decimal confused the heck out of me when I first encountered it in France when I was a kid.
