Thunderbird Club

I was ancient, 21...that Orlando show was on my brother's nineteenth birthday.

The only music i really knew at my age back then was The Beatles. 1964. On an old Victrola, my uncle brought over their first american release. Meet The Beatles.
My grandmother thought, this is the devils spawn. They will be ruined for life, My brother and i. Yup, a life of music. And i'm not turning back now.

Yeah, I'm an older generation. Started taking guitar lessons at age 7 and was playing in a band pre Beatlemania, instrumentals in the vein of the Ventures, Surfaris, etc. The bands that did it for me were the AntiBeatles: Kinks, Yardbirds, Who, Animals, Stones, Troggs, Blues Project.

Yeah, I never connected with the Beatles much- the bands you mention are the ones I preferred.

Great song! The Kinks Knocked the Buttles off the the top spot in 1964 with "You Really Got Me'. Pull MaCockoff (Muswell Hill humour) and the 'lads' had to go on before them at the NME awards. Sir Pud was not happy. You can read about it in "X-Ray, The Unauthorized Autobiograpy of Ray Davies".

Just giving people a chance to recover from me:)
My friend... if you are a disease... count me among the willingly afflicted;)
