According to this, Steve Jones played most of the bass lines.

That's interesting and not consistent with information from other sites...

I believe some of the recordings for the album (produced by Chris Thomas) already had Glenn Matlock on them from before he quit, but the remaining tracks probably was performed by Steve Jones.

Oh, I love their playing, especially on that record. It's all attitude and ferocity. And, whoever actually played on that record was probably not strung out and probably did know how to play. Unlike Sid, who probably didn't play on that record. I don't recall whether they had liner notes and credits or not, either.

They were a little like the LA sessions musicians in the '60s who had to figure out how to play like kids who weren't virtuosos in order to sound convincing. They pulled it off, and so did the Sex Pistols.

There was a story going around at the time that Chris Spedding played all the guitars on the album ... but Steve Jones played all guitars as well as bass (other than Matlock on Anarchy and the cat slaughterer on Bodies).
