Thunderbird Club

Gotta have your phone with you all the time for that. I have a little paper calendar that I use. That's as close to organized as I'll ever be. Funny thing is that I had one of those PDA things about 15 years ago, and I thought it was the greatest thing ever. Except it wasn't around when I needed to know what I had just agreed to do. Plus, the paper one doesn't break when you drop it, doesn't stop working when it gets wet, and is faster to update with scribbles instead of poking at little things on a screen. It's all part of being a completely unreconstructed neolithic man.

My paper notebooks don’t work so well when they are wet

But 410’s are also the Devils work.
I don’t mention mine in the Gen Pop. :)

Yes 410s are bad. Two 210s are good. 810s are sort of okay if you talk about your back a lot. And ... I just bought a 110, it weighs 2 pounds, goes down to 150Hz and it moves so much air, you would not believe how much air it moves, it moves more air that you have ever seen -- bigly.

“An 810?! What, are you playing arenas with no PA support?! Hope you have roadies!”

Never gets old

Did a quick clip. This would be the Cataldo NR41 with TB66 pickup and Roto RS66LDN nickel strings. The track is a single source thing I'm working on using only my truck as the sound source...popped a simple bassline over the top just for a reference to the tone. No EQ added

Your truck? How did you do that?

A 360 is muddy, sounds sluggish, doesn't have tubes, weighs too much, and is too big. And Thunderbirds neck dive, sound muddy, and can't be adjusted. Did I miss anything?

I don't have roadies, but I do have a van. Vans are God's gift to people like me.

Nice! Can't wait to hear the SS RS66 compared to that in the same scenario.

I gotta admire this. Now, I need to buy another 2l bottle for this afternoon. Good thing I can quit any time, right?

Happy birthday. We'll all help you eat the cake. so you can tell your dentist you didn't have too much sugar (is there such a thing?).
Too much sugar is definitely a thing for me, being blessed with type 2 diabeedus since 2012. If I knew I was gonna love this long (51 today) I would have kept up with the maintenance better!

Nice! Thanks for posting.
I'm listening on an iPad so not really a good practice, but the Roto nickels sounded brighter than I thought they would. Did you have your tone knob all the way up?
I'll try to play the clip through my bass cab later tonight.
