Determined to stop thinking about basses for awhile and just took my Traynor yba 200-2 to a tech today. He was a little shocked how much volume can be had with the gain turned OFF. That’ll be addressed first. The fx loop is really noisy, so that’ll be dealt with. There’s one other mod Jonathan Reiner suggested, so we’ll try that as well

Yeah, sometimes it's best not to get overdrawn in the bargaining chip bank. I think Kat has a lifetime supply. The rest of us probably don't.

For now, at least! We’ll see if the issues get addressed. If not, it’ll move along and I’ll look for something else. That would be a shame because the power section vs weight is really nice and it’s not a bad sounding amp. Fingers crossed!

That new Genzler Magellan seems pretty bad ass. I watched the Premier Guitar review on Yoot Oobs. Seemed really versatile with a niiiice gain section.

IMHO... I'd say no. You'll never match the naturally aged finish & it'll look like you tried to hide something if it ever winds up for sale again. It's not uncommon to see more than one hole in the wood for the front strap button on a Thunderbird...
