Hiller - looks like a fantastic high energy show, and you look as cool and collected playing the guitar as you do on the bass!
That first photo is crackin me up, looks like you lead singer just got goosed in the arse by the guy with the mic behind him. LOL:laugh:

Re the ABG's I have a Washburn AB20 an like it very much, depending on the show, venue and set list I use mine and it sounds great. Typically, I'll write the set list to have three songs together that it sounds good on, our guitarist also changes to her Tele for those songs. I've had mine since '97 or so and have always been happy to have it around.

Playing a show a big stage and great FOH, it's there with my '76 and '89.

I have a couple of AEB guitars (ultra rare Rainsong and a Breedlove 5 string) and love em and use em both. But acoustically they're really only good while sitting at home noodling out a song. Gotta plug in (or possibly mic up) to play with the band. I suspect that's what @godofthunder59 was getting at.

Great photo BTW - :wideyed:just how high do those boots go???

I never expected to play it with out plugging it in, it's acoustic tone easily comes through live, ( I use it on "Blister in the Sun", I'll melt with you" and "should I stay, or should I go") and it's really a kick to play something so different tonally and visually. We are going to attempt "Rock this town" later in the year and I'll use it for that, my walking bass skills are what really needs work though!

Re the boots......hard to believe this was 10 years ago, but the band has been a long, fun trip so far!

Mine was exactly like the red one with the mother of toilet seat pickguard in that thread, except that it was black and battered. It had been found in a bathtub in an abandoned house, and I got it for free. I did a little work on it, including shimming the neck with spare change instead of matchbooks, and it was my bass for a few years. Then I got the EB-2 in what was essentially a straight swap for it. Not bad for free, plus about eight cents of change.

I forgot in my lifetime bass list...several uprights (maybe 10?) and a weird, inexplicable phase about ten years ago where I bought up a few ‘80’s Peavey basses. T-40, T-45, Foundation and Palladium...there was also a couple acoustic basses I was asked to use during that awful ‘MTV Unplugged’ era in the ‘90’s. Man, I hated those things
I have only had two uprights. The one I have now, and a 1950 or so Kay that I got for $150 after the New York City Department of Education had its way with it. I spent more time fixing the Kay than playing it until the cat finished it off. That story was from about three days ago, or 30,000 posts, whichever came first.

I meant to reply to this before, man this club thread moves fast!

I've been wanting to check out a DiCosimo Audio, 360+ pedal: DiCosimo Audio - Custom Stompboxes
But they rarely come up used, and it seems like the only way I'm going to be able to check one out would be to just go ahead and order a new one. Thing being, I wonder how the actual 'heft' of the Acoustic rig will translate using the pedal version through whatever the rig of the moment is? And has already been mentioned- the cabs lent a major portion of that 'heft'. Although hooking up a 370 to any stout cab, still demonstrated that even the standalone head itself absolutely slammed hard.
So this pedal might be something to consider?
As far as I know, that box is the 360 preamp in a stomp box. The original 360 head was strictly a preamp, and it would control up to four powered cabinets. I haven't tried using the 360 as a preamp before other amplifiers, so I'm not sure what it would do. I expect it would work well and provide a high level of control and the coloration you would expect from a 360. It wouldn't have the complete effect because, as you mentioned, the cabinet is a major part of the sound.

I could be convinced to swap the ToneHammer for one of those. Actually, that's not such a bad idea. Hmmm....

Another great pic! Looks like the only band member change has been the drummer, is that correct?

I am afraid what my little collection says is this dude makes too much money and has no sense. They are all still mine from most recent acquisition to the gateway POS at the bottom. If only I had skill worthy of these fine instruments. The NRT (in my avatar) is what I am currently playing most of the time.

2016/17 Mike Lull M5
2016/17 Mike Lull M4XL
1998? Mike Lull T4 (prototype number one) Not sure when it was made. I am sure our Queen knows.
1981 Rickenbacker 4001
2014/5 Mike Lull P4
2014 Mike Lull NRT4
2013 Mike Lull M4V
2012 Ibanez GSR200FM
As another crappy bass player with expensive gear, I approve completely.

Trying to summon up enthusiasm to face gen pop and can't do it. This here club spoils and indulges me.
Why would you need to face the gen pop? Disconnecting and looking at the news is an alternative. On the other hand, the gen pop might be easier to deal with than whatever happened in the world last night. As long as there's here to hide, life is pretty good.
