I am not sure if I have posted this here before. I just posted it elsewhere for another discussion and thought I could post it here to show how you do P Bass with no sign of tort, big headstocks or split coil pickups.
My "Telecaster style" P Basses.

...and a fine lot it is!

2011 Gibson taper

View attachment 2949846

Bit dark but definite taper there. It has a tummy tuck as well, and the wings are thinner than my Goth.

My '08 Gibson looks much the same 33 mm at the join to the thick bit of the body- 29mm at the end of the lower bout.
My VP is 32 and 30 at the equivalent places.
My 1990 Greco TB IV is 35 and 28- 29, as is my 77 Greco TB II.

That Cat!
When I drive up to the house after a long day at work she's sitting on the window sill watching for me, when I touch the garage door opener she hops off and runs down to the basement door to greet me. We have to have about 5 minutes of petting and rubbing, a long with some gentle biting from her, then it's dinner time. In the pic she had just eaten 5 minutes or so before, she totally cleans the dish eating everything all at once, not finicky at all, probably left over from her time as a stray.

My boy knows I'm returning when I'm 100m down the road.

Ōbiru* photos. No tummy or leg cuts.

Should only test one thing at a time...played with Derek Hoke tonight. Brought the Sunn Coliseum 300 and the ‘02 Gibson w/ Cobalt flats. At 8 ohms, the Sunn was barely hanging in there on the loud tunes. Gotta say I also prefer roundwounds with that amp, though I got a lot of compliments on the sound. A buddy shot a minute or so of one of the quieter tunes...can’t tell what I think...just wished I had rounds with that amp!

OK the Epi Vintage Pro is as blinged as it is going to get. Has had one practice, another this week and first gig the following weekend. I suspect it will sound sensational.

Chrome Schaller locks.
Gotoh GBR 640 Ultra Light Machines in Nickel (these are super nice!)
Thunderbucker Ranch custom made bridge cover in Nickel plate
Custom "Gibson" script TRC
Fender pure nickel rounds 45- 105.

Actually a little less neck heavy than when I bought it.

Those bursts are beautiful and the white ones are stunning, but I am glad I got a black one! B- B- B Bad!

Very very nice! It doesn't get more "Gibson" than that... :)
