Making money with "Cars", set list fave for more than a decade
There will always be haters. I made a grand a week in Disco inferno back in 96. Best gig for a bassist. So fun fire Marshall would stop admitting at 10:30 most every show. We all should play for chicks . Everyone shows up when the chicks are there! Just sayin.
All of the bands you mentioned in parenthesis are definitely influences from my youth. They are all reflected in the songs we are working on now.
Well said Larry. I know a lot of the comments we throw around in here are not serious but not everyone understands the humorous side that we have. I have a huge list of bands I hate but if someone posts about liking them in here, I am not going to crap all over them (unless I can make a good joke out of it
). I don't care what others listen to, but sometimes I can't understand WHY they listen to it. It works the same from my side. Lots of people can't understand why I like what I do either. Its all good tho. I know I am right 
I started asking for a guitar at 13. I think playing has kept me a perpetual teenager on the inside. I just never grew up or outgrew music.

Oppsie. Just back from the House of Guitars. Turns out they had a unpacked Tobacco Sunburst Vintage Pro down in the basement. Mine now.
Same here. Music has definitely kept me young at heart. Not sure I'll ever mature in the traditional sense. Screw em all who don't relate to that.

I just love making music with my band, playing covers isn't for everybody, but I enjoy it. It's a job, I stay sober, make a real effort to write a set list that ramps up all night long and of course play music that gets the women out on the dance floor - gets us paid, and called back.

I play for fun, and I'll play anything. Dancing women make it even better. I don't care how young, old, big, small, or anything else. I don't care if anybody calls me an artist, thinks I'm any good, or anything else, so long as I get to make lots of noise and have a good time doing it. Making other people happy means making more noise more often. There's no drawbacks here that I can think of.

Playing with others definitely helps you grow as a player. Jam with your kids every chance you get. You have a built in "house band" so that can only help you grow and learn.
But but but... I need to know my part before I can play with them. Practice alone and play with others, right?
