Her Parents are divorced and Her Mother passed away over a year ago. Happy to be able to Help.
I've never needed/fooled with drop tuning. I bought a Les Paul 5 string in '96 to get those extra 5 notes and it's a great(heavy)bass. But now I use my EHX micro POG and get up to 3 notes while fingering one and it fits in my stuff bag. It's my only stomp box and I highly recommend it.
Edit: Depending on your amp's "fartiness", it'll take you down to c-c#, no sweat.

Is that pickguard pattern off? Seems like it should hug the back pickup closer..

I looked at the pic of mine(I'm not home)and that one Does seem a tad short. Totally devalues the bass.

I think you’re looking at a different pic to the one I’m thinking about. Is there one of the neck showing the joint before the body is assembled? Possibly talking about the neck angle?
