Safe travels. I hope the VW rides smoothly. Apparently they don't send those over here. It looks like it would be a good replacement for mine. We’re on the way home, currently 380 miles into a 590 mile drive

I used to hate tort when I was a kid. First thing I did to my 72 P was yank and replace the tort guard and stock pickup.Nope! acoustic guitars and.... uh,.... er.... .... ...... Edit:After some thought-tortoises!
I think it's called evolution or something. OMG! Is that a Fartfisa? Holy crap!I used to hate tort when I was a kid. First thing I did to my 72 P was yank and replace the tort guard and stock pickup.
My only justification for that today is that I was 15 and clueless... Sure did some dumb thinks to some awesome instruments that sell for thousands today. Paid 250 for that P-Bass in 79, case pickup/bridge covers and all! Saw one (72 exactly the same as mine) go for 7200 recently...Oh well..
With time I have come to appreciate and even like tort, alot..

Yeah, and free. They're all over the place-roadkill(and "roadworn")Even better! Post industrial pickguard material.
Someone once told me they're good eating...YUK!..Yeah, and free. They're all over the place-roadkill(and "roadworn")
I think you’re looking at a different pic to the one I’m thinking about. Is there one of the neck showing the joint before the body is assembled? Possibly talking about the neck angle?
I know the one you mean showing the back of the neck after spraying
I have tort on one of my Gibbys and it looks right at home, of course it's a Fender shaped Gibby so it seems natural. Of my fifty some odd basses that brings my tort count to three - one 2013EB Gibby, one 1968 Fender P Bass, one Warmoth build. That's just enough to placate the salami vomit gods without infuriating the Wonder Twins (I hope).Doesn't work on Gibby basses
It's a Southern thing. I'm not That Southern.Someone once told me they're good eating...YUK!..
Semi-digested salami on a bass is always infuriating.I have tort on one of my Gibbys and it looks right at home, of course it's a Fender shaped Gibby so it seems natural. You are talking about Spanish chorizo which we don't get over here. The Mexican stuff we do get would not go on bread or pizza..Chorizo is good... On bread or pizza...![]()
