Thunderbird Club

I keep saying I don't want more than about one gig per month, especially when the pay is $18 and a beer. But, I keep ending up with more than that, mostly on upright. I gotta charge more or something.

Ask for 2 beers!

TC K212 cab, 400W and under 23kg ... Mesa Subway out of the classifieds.

Now that sounds like a plan. Judging from reputations on my part.

Not a fan of Elvis Costello... Bought "My Aim Is True" when it came out, assuming it was something else, since it was released on Stiff Records - Couldn't have been more wrong!!!

Only skipped through it once and had it sitting in my vinyl collection for years, until I finally found someone who wanted to take it off my hands...

Did however like the "Watching the Detectives" single with The Attractions...

I liked him a lot for the first 3 or so albums, but sort of tailed off after that. First heard Watching the Detectives and loved it.

Had a similar thing happen to me in the mid to late 90's when the Internet just stated getting popular. I was working from my home office and my preschool aged daughter was coloring Disney pictures in her coloring book. She ran out of pictures and started to get fidgety so I figured I pull up a Disney picture on the internet and print it for her to color on. Not really thinking much about it, I typed Bambi Image into google. Up popped Bambi alright! OMG - in female human form with both legs in the air pointing different directions. You've never seen a grown man grab the mouse to close the screen so fast in your entire life. :wideyed::jawdrop::nailbiting::eek::facepalm::oops:

Something similar happened to me, no doubt must have been new. Trying to remember who was who, entered Stef into the search engine. Omg I didn’t know so many strippers and porn stars took Stef or similar as a name.
PC in the family room, phone cable across the room and visitors arriving in about an hour. Every porn site I closed spawned another half dozen opening!!!
I ended up ripping the phone cord out and powering it down. Dramatic.

'Valve' is short for 'thermionic valve' you rotten kid.
Google corrected it to Thermo Valve...

The wife (who is a past Grand Champion rider in Kentucky Saddle Seat competition) has informed me she wants to get back into competitive horse riding again, maybe Hunter Jump but this time she wants me to join her in the ring. Long story short, I'm more of a motorcycle guy than a horse guy but I told her I'd join her if we got a couple of Icelandic horses and entered in this competition...

...my kinda riding for sure!

I like it better when a tank is involved.

Nice looking birds, I've never seen a Spector in the flesh or such a good photo. The detailing looks spectacular, the neck body join looks beautifully made, care and attention gone into that. The gold hardware looks uber cool :)

Question, are the bridges the same? What are the pups on the bottom one?

The Euro bridge is wider than the bridge on the korean Rex model.

The pickups on the Rex is passive Emg HZ but the preamp is an active EMG BTS.

All Spector models is quality instruments. The hardware feels a bit cheaper on the koreans and euro Rebops. Other than that, great craftmanship!

As I said the other day, I have the same amp, I'm absolutely over the moon with it cheap and cheerful the sound is perfect for our band and best of all it's so light, just pick it up and put it in the van with no risk of either breaking into a sweat of doing your back in. My basses in their cases weigh more. Hindsight I wish I'd bought a bigger one but this one is fine in the small venues we play (so far)

I too love the sound of my Thunderbird through my Rumble.
