I guess the most important thing is just be by her side. Sometimes human comfort works wonders.

It is usually a plate rather than just K wire. It is a good repair and leads to good outcomes. Just makes sure she does the rehab. For any orthopaedic surgery. outcomes are all in doing the PT/OT afterwards. Hope all goes well.

I once did my wrist really well. Because of the lousy way socialized medicine works, they let me sit for hours with no explanation, then because I got myself a drink (I did the injury while exercising) told me they had to do a closed reduction. I ended up having two more closed reductions. I couldn't move my wrist when I finally came out of the cast. But I got back 90% of the range of motion because I concentrated on getting it.

I got two good deals in the same week, which was unlikely. I sold my old Magnum in 2016 because I was doing all of my recording with my P bass and needed money for a fancy vintage drum machine. Regretted it immediately. The Magnum I is insane, especially that neck pickup.

Barry Adamson used to -- still -- plays one. They're fascinating, if a little misshapen looking (and I mean absolutely no disrespect).

There are mixed reviews/thoughts about that. I have one on my Epiphone Classic Pro. The other ThunderBird has one of @godofthunder59's BadBirdII bridge on it.
This is just my personal experience. The HipShot is a full contact fully adjustable bridge. I noticed a change in tone once i installed it. Lack of a better way to describe it, beefier sounding over the 3 point with it on. I much prefer it over the 3 point.
Now, GOT's bridge is in a whole league of itself. Yes, not a 3 point, but a replacement with a claw tailpiece. I'm starting to prefer it over the HipShot.
I'm sure none of this was of any help. But @dukeorock has 3 Birds, one of which has the 3 point, and another with the Hipshot.

When i was at B&H Photo 2 weeks ago, one of the staff who helped me out is a bass player. We talked a bit about music and basses. He said as much as he likes ThunderBirds, He loves his Magnum.
Never played or heard one myself.

I have absolutely no problem with the stock three point, but the supertone, with its bridge saddles which remain in place, is an improvement by any measure.

My ‘02 ‘Bird has one and I love it. Big improvement? I dunno, but I like it :)

Is that a Maton?

For a start, it was in NZ which is the home of Jansen*. The Holden amps we had were made domestically as well. I once played through a Holden 100 + 412 and it was stupid loud. Also Gunn (combos) which may have been a Sunn knockoff, with an outrageous spring reverb which was David Kilgour's sig sound.

*As well as Abbey who made direct AC30 clones in Christchurch. There was a story going around at the time that there were lawyers hunting for the Abbey people. Put a couple of Celestion 12s in an Abbey 30 and you had a very nice -- and cheap -- amp.
