Don't forget the other rules from Honda...:roflmao:
HOW TO RIDE MOTORCYCLES
1962 Safety Rules from Honda

Taken from a 1962 Honda Motor Cycle Instruction Book. Translated by Honda for the American Motorcycle Rider

1. At the rise of the hand by Policeman, stop rapidly. Do not pass him by or otherwise disrespect him.

2. When a passenger of the foot, hooves in sight, tootle the horn trumpet melodiously at first. If he still obstacles your passage, tootle him with vigor and express by word of mouth, warning Hi, Hi.

3. Beware of the wandering horse that he shall not take fright as you pass him. Do not explode the exhaust box at him. Go smoothingly by.

4. Give big space to the festive dog that makes sport in roadway. Avoid entanglement of dog with wheel spokes.

5. Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon. Press the brake foot as you roll around the corner, and save the collapse and tie up.
Couldn't have said it better myself.:wacky:

I knew a guy who stuffed a 289 Ford into a Spitfire. I don't recall what transmission and rear end he used, but they weren't Triumph parts. It wasn't a tame 289 either. Low mass is its own reward. That car proved it. It would also swap ends pretty quick when you romped on it a little too enthusiastically. I don't remember much about that car except that it was next to impossible to work on.
I bought a 440 off someone that had a TR6 that he wanted to swap a V8 into.... if I remember correctly.... he wanted to put that 440 into the TR6........... ...... ..... .... ... .. .

That motor would have bent the frame the first time he blipped the throttle.

There was a guy in Miami that had a Rambler American 440 that he stuffed a 426 in. Had it tuned so at idle it sounded like crap. He'd painted on the 1/4 panels"Ram-blur"to look like the original logo.

Did you ever see that gal in the Dade/Broward area who drove that tricked out orange Plymouth Roadrunner that said "If you can catch me you can eat me"?

Heard about her, never saw her-and never had anything that would catch her either.:rollno:
There was another gal, went to "The U" that had a Corvair. She'd drive around, find guys with hot cars and race them. Watched her beat a 'Vette one night. Turned out her BF had shoehorned a FI 327 into the Front of it, put a "pan" where the flat 6 had been and had concrete blocks in the back to keep the tires on the ground. Only hot car I ever drove was a friend's "Mustang"-which happened to be a Shelby GT500:smug::hyper:
