I was having a little light hearted fun teasing you guys. Sorry if someone took it the wrong way. I really do like Thunderbirds just as much as Les Paul basses.
Yeah... the blue ones aren't too difficult to come by. The sunburst ones seem more rare. I've only seen one. I'm not in the market right now anyway. The money I don't have yet, is already spent on the bass I don't have yet

The Kam does look cool. No truss rod access at the headstock so I assume you'd have to remove the pickguard to make those adjustments - kind of a pita. The $1800 price also puts it into Cataldo territory, of the two I'd go with Carlo for the win.

LOL - I love the LP shape and have a number of them in my guitar rack, sadly none in the bass rack. Hopefully I'll solve that issue soon. As for LP being cooler than TBirds, not so much. TBirds to me are more like blondes or red heads and Les Paul's are more like brunettes or black hair women. All good, the more the merrier! Of course that makes FSO more like bald headed girls, in other words there better be some other significantly redeeming features or I ain't buyin....
... and with all due respect... if the Les Paul bass were truly cooler than the Thunderbird... you wouldn't hafta be over here fishin' around for converts!

I would never seriously call someone a bird brain over the bass they like. I thought the green grin gave it away. Now don't get me started on how much cooler Rickenbackers are.
I played first gig with the VP last night. The knobs that it came with look nice, but I can’t see the numbers, so I switched to the black ones.

Well, even if I could talk em down, shipping from Japan...not gonna be cheap. That is a very tempting bass though. I’m just not looking for a bass right now. May even sell a couple to fund this goofy solo thing I’m working on
When I bought mine, I planned on getting the Pelham blue, but once I saw the graphite pearl, I had to have that.
That Kaminari is pretty cool. Looks like the new Hipshot D style bridge on it.
