Thunderbird Club

People that try to describe a light bull they need over the telephone........ugh, make you wish for a spike in the forehead
Working at a pool store:

Customer: Do you have any of those round rubber things? Gaskets maybe?

Me or other employee: you mean an o-ring?

Customer: YA! Do you have one of those?

Me: yes… we have walls full…

Customer: can I buy one?

Me: yes… what size do you need?

Customer: … :wideyed::wideyed::wideyed: … uhhhhhhhh…

That's nothing. I was a retail pharmacist very briefly:
Patient: I need something for pain.
Pharmacist: Something like Tylenol or Motrin?
Pt: Something with codeine
Ph: Do you have any allergies?
Pt: Tylenol and codeine. And Aspirin. And Motrin.
Ph: :confused:o_O you are allergic to codeine, but you want it?
Pt: Well, I'm allergic to every drug, but I need something for "the pain".
Ph: :rollno:

I later learned that "the pain" was a common ailment and that there were many patients allergic to "every drug".

And this is why I hate people (although there are individuals of whom I am quite fond).

Ok so I see rule #10 now. My intention wasn't to rile up Thunderbird fans. I thought people would detect the sarcasm. Hopefully if I ever land a T-bird of my own in the future, I can still be welcome here. But I might buy another LPB in the meantime, no offense.

I took it as a joke, but then again I'm a professional WiseAss!! I say you are still welcome here even if you "only" have an LPB ;)

Drunk bachelorette girls have bad decisions written all over them! And I always carry someone else's business card, you know just in case...
In lieu of a business card, I used to give my phone number as 561 8323801( time and temperature). Not any more-they lost their sponsor, but I Did have one check out girl recognize it!

I’ve been doing a lot of recording lately, so I’m getting super anal about tone. I’ve switched strings between my basses and tried every combination, and I have to say - the new VP is even better than I initially thought. The stock pickups on my ebony sound amazing with rounds for that picked piano tone, and my Thunderbucker 66 sunburst one is basically a vintage p bass+ with flats and a .1uf tone cap (shagger is bright otherwise).

Having said that, I did just impulse buy a nice Japanese p bass 62 reissue. It’s super red!
So what strings are you sporting on the VP today?
