Sorry, this is all beyond me, it's been 15 years or so since I last had anything to do with this, I've been thinking about so many other things since then it is lost knowledge. I prefer burger recipes these days :)
I used to make my own w/ packaged ground beef, onion soup mix, seasoning salt, and "wuss-dis-here" sauce. Mix it up and press patties about 3/4" thick and freeze for later. Pan fry and usually ate 'em as is, no bun. Nowadays I go out for burgers. They don't microwave very well and when I'm shopping, anything that doesn't microwave goes back on the shelf-not in the buggy.:smug:

I may be wrong here, but as I recall, copper has 10 electrons in it's D orbital meaning that the orbital is filled and therefore electronic dipoles are cancelled meaning that copper should not have magnetic properties (under ordinary circumstances; all bets are off once you are into exotic states of matter). Iron, Cobalt, and Nickel have unpaired electrons in their D orbitals that make them magnetic because of the unpaired dipoles produced.

I was under the impression that the shielding properties of copper were a result of free electrons in the S orbital making it an excellent conductor, so any stray currents (static etc.) can quickly be shuffled off to ground.

I could be wrong - I don't do inorganic chemistry.
Many metals are excellent conductors but poor shielding agents.

I haven't done inorganic chemistry in about 30 years. So I got you beat... But I do worry about organic chemistry and molecular biology regularly. I like eating burgers,
 
As a native Miamian, watching Miami Vice used to crack me up constantly. In a chase scene, they'd turn a corner and suddenly be miles away. Location, Location, etc.:laugh::confused:

Same with "Bullet" - one second in the Mission, (turns corner) the next in San Bruno!
