I was thinking the exact same thing, two piece plastic molded body.
I have pine basses, not necessarily a light weight wood and also not a particularly durable wood (dents very easy). I kinda wonder if that bad paint job was made worse by some after finish dents and dings. It's not a bad sounding wood but about the only common body wood that's softer is basswood, which also sounds good but just ain't durable. I'll take mahogany, alder or maple body basses and maple, mahogany, rosewood or wenge necks with maple, rosewood, Ebony or wenge fretboards.

Beats me - an attempt at introducing some sort of 'new' look. If I had to try and guess, it was an error that someone there said ..."but it looks kinda different - let's sell it!" Frankly Warwick has introduced a number of god-awful "looks" for their expensive boutique basses - a "fishing expedition" is what it could be considered.

And on the flip side, Warwick has also created some of the best looking finishes I've seen on a fancy boutique basses. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Speaking of fishing I wonder if the finish is suffering from poor prep work. If any greasy substance was on the surface than fish eyes would occur. Looks like fish eyes.

A few things could cause such. Frankly, it's not worth spending a lot of time on...

Notice that the bassists cable goes outta camera range to ? amp.(I'd seen this b4) Nothing wrong with the look or sound, I always liked the surf sounds.:cool:

Whats that all about?, I can never take my eyes off the musicians at all....ever. Or at least long enough to look elswhere. They got me craving a metalflake bass.

As I said , I saw this previously where they were pushing the retro looking amps and, being detail oriented, I noticed the bassists cable going ??. My peripheral vision is good enough to notice that without losing concentration on the other members of the group. "Ev'rybody's gone surfin'":cool:

Yeah forgot about that,I had seen it before but it never struck me enough to think about it. I do remember watching the Highlander movie and instantly noticed when the guy goes to swing his Samurai sword at the roof of a 1970 Chevelle 2 door and as the sword makes contact they cut film and all of a sudden around the corner comes squealing a roofless 1975 Dodge Dart 4 door...."4 DOORs?. Or Vanishing point ends with a Dodge Challenger crashing into a bulldozer and the burning wreck reveals a Chevy Camaro rear end. :roflmao: @GBassNorth and @Dr_Feelgoood212 wherever you are. You know this.
