Thunderbird Club

Wow - is that what they look like these days? (nitro dragsters that is...) It looks like the thin clear-plastic vacu-formed shells we used to use (painted on the inside to keep the outside shiny!) at the local slot-car tracks.

I know this has been discussed over many pages, but is there a general consensus about available T-bird pu's? Like, an order/list of best sounding/prices etc including the various makers of authentic chrome cover w/ring T-bird Humbuckers?

I just saw these on eBay: Thunderbird Bass Pickups with Rings - Nickel | eBay

I also moved a set of Vintage Pro 760 pickups from my Embassy to my DBZ Gumby Bass..If I could buy these straight out aftermarket I would grab three or four sets..

It's what a Drag Queen looks like these days. Especially a Hot Rock n Roll Thunder Drag Queen. Note the platform shoes in back. That should be a dead giveaway.

They don’t to my knowledge but they are just silly money here, Lulls are £450 plus rings and Thunderbuckers will be even more with shipping and import duty. Sadly they are a no go area unless someone is willing to pay
got paypal? The Thunderbuckers plus 2 rings at the current exchange come in (over here) at 304.00 Sterling..
