That doesn't sound right. When you mean noise are you talking 50/60Hz hum?

I think so, it's not so much buzz like you get with like a Jazz or a Ric, more random type noise but it's not 60 cycle either though, I often wondered if that bass had a ground wire off somewhere, the EB-3 definitely needs to be rewired or shielded, it sounds great though.

That's just flat odd. Something can't be right. Humbuckers typically don't make odd noises unless you did something odd. I don't get any noisiness from any Gibson that I own, 60 cycle or otherwise. I get plenty of music noise, and we can argue all day and all night about the sound of any given pickup. That is always good.

That's a proper motorcycle. I would love to have a vintage Thunderbird like that. Triumph makes Thunderbirds now, but they are more along the lines of a bloated cruiser. I'll take one from the 1950s, balsa wood brakes and vinyl tires and all. Thanks.

My Epi 'bird was noisy as hell before I replaced all the pots, jack, & wiring (of course, that was primarily due to the previous owner's obvious experimentation with projectile soldering:meh:)

I thought so too, it was stock, I had bought it brand new and never opened it up.

I don't know what the top one is. An Ariel perhaps? I'm not all that interested in sidecar rigs, unless it's something that would make stupid way too much fun, like a Ural.

The Vincent is the ultimate motorcycle. I have only seen one in person. It was not a disappointment. I love just about everything about the design of the motor on those. The way the exhaust pipes curl around the motor is beautiful. Likewise, you can't nail the looks of pushrod tubes any better than on that motor. They gave up when they got to the back of the bike, though. That seat is unfortunate, even if it came from the factory that way. I would still take one and say thank you very much.

This is my idea of the perfect bike - a Vincent motor stuffed into a Norton frame. The only thing that could make this one better is a polished alloy tank. Oooh! Shiny!

A Norvin, a rare beast! The top bike is a Brough Superior, not often seen as an outfit but non the less fvcking amazing to see, I was thrilled to see it

I had a HRD Comet in my 20s, I bought it as a barn find and restored it to a very good usable standard but it was pre internet so more difficult to find the correct parts; I did quite well but the big let down was the mudguards and gauges which were completely wrong
