It should have minimal effect on the radiation (field sensing the strings) pattern of the pickups.

I still wonder though, in the days when we had a CRT TV I had to move a loud speaker about 2' away from it to stop half the screen going green
The loudspeaker would have had a magnetic flux density 1000 fold that of the little button magnets used for fastening.

Nope. Got 'em on kebabs with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Brisket has been slowly smoking for about an hour and a half, with an hour or more left to go. True but those little neodymium things are only 2 or 3 inches away. I'll take your word for it but I have no real way of understanding the (if any) effect they would have without knowing any numbers from the real world and I have no real idea just how sensitive pickups actually are

If the pickups are designed properly, the Alnico magnets would be no where close as to alter the pattern purity.

Hey Gaolee, just picked this up for 100 bucks at the Goodwill. Bad power switch so it wouldn't turn on at the store. I bypassed it (for now) and all good. Do you have any experience with these?
I don't know about the rest of you around the world, but this heat here is killing me.
I just bought a brand new Ebony Gibson Thunderbird from ZZsounds but I'm out of the country and haven't seen it yet so obviously no pictures, had it shipped to my father's house in Ma, I'm going there next month, can't wait. I'm already thinking of buying new chrome pickups for it as I don't like the looks nor the sound of the stock ones. I'm looking at both ThunderBuckers and Lollers, so far I've liked the Thunderbucker 63's series the best.

Yeah The F105 as a aerobatic demonstration aircraft blows my mind. I Saw both the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels fly F4 Phantoms! Very impressive.

Well, 105s are massive! Their routine had to be way different..
F4s, even louder! My favorite Angels' routines were flown on A-4s.
Does it vary depending on the magnet type?
